End of August is traditionally vacation season. The current Nucular War game is starting with 9 people. I'd say go ahead and take it and keep things rolling until people get back.

Playing these games is a good way to practise, since you tend to pay more attention. If you pick a tile, start playing and decide you've farked up your city you can always redo it from the start of the 5 years. This may or may not be within the spirit of "multiplayer SC4"; "reloading" in many games is considered "cheating", but all that really matters here is that you like how your city develops. In particular if you don't like how it's coming along you should redo it, because if you're playing a city you don't like you'll be more inclined to give up and drop out.

myself I restarted my city from the previous game 3 (or was it 4?) times before I was happy with how it looked at year 5, this time I did one do-over and that was because of a problem with ferries.

Anyway, just jump on in and don't be afraid of screwing up, you can always just restart and no-one will know . (until you upload the city, that is the point you "commit").

Northshore 2025

Northshore, the vacation center of Xiamen. In this wide shot, you can see the beach which has made the city famous (following its appearance in Girls Gone Wild 18: The Revenge of Snoop.)



Some of the more famous sights:

The Over/Under bridge. On the left, you see the Harry Belafonte bridge which leads to Tallyman Island running over the west branch of the river. On the right, you see the Burgess-Attaway Tunnel, which burrows under both the river and Tallyman Island to emerge on the eastern peninsula.


The Ghettoleaf, the center of traffic in the city. It's said that the Ghettoleaf came about when the mayor requested bids for a proper cloverleaf intersection in downtown Northshore, and then picked the lowest bidder.


And of course, the infamous Northshore OMFGSuperUltraMax Prison. In an effort to make the city as attractive as possible for vacationers, the mayor built this island jail to take in the worst of the city's offenders. With tanks, deuce-and-a-halfs, and attack helicopters manned by over a thousand prison guards who live in the barracks adjacent to the prison proper, drunken college students who are brought in from the beaches are not likely to get loose and cause more havoc.

Southshore 2025

On the south side of the harbor lies pragmatically named Southshore, whose unassuming name hides a rather devious infiltration by the Eventinatti.

Of course the Events' secret base is not so secret in the city, however, the Towers of Laser, Fighter, Torpedo, and Shield ensure that no stray aircraft can overfly and see what truly is going on.

And now, up close and personal at the very spot where galactic leaders meet to plot the rigging of important events in the Greater Apolyton Area.

Eventinatti influence is suspected in the Southshore government, but the party line is that such rumors are just rumors.
