Damn! Just got edged out 1-0 by Bannockburn Robers in the next round of the League Cup.
Friedel tipped one over with a minute left.
We'd have made a fortune from a televised game at Ewood Park.

      ah! money problems
Still you sound like your doing pretty well

Lowly Newport Co(and their cheating chairman) have got 9 games into the conference season and are poised in second place with a game in hand.

Still i think i've been very lucky so far and the bigger teams have yet to be played, so it could all change......especially as i have three young key players that get picked for international duty when i often need them the most. I'm looking at a higher mid table finish this season, and promotion into Div2 the next.

Still i'm having problems already this season trying to strengthen my squad which will be key to my chances.

I'm not having money troubles at all - I just wouldn't say no to a load more.
Just got £50k for qualifying for the FA Cup fourth round (fingers crossed for Man U away), and look favourites to win the LDV Vans trophy.

            Get lost.

I'm through to the FA Cup quarter finals now, and have a Championship (2nd division for any of you who have followed football for years ) team to play, whoever wins the replay.

I forgot to save when I turned it off, assumed I had, and clicked no when it told me. Never mind, lost 2-0 to Tottenham in the FA quarters.
Mind you, I'm through to the LDV Vans Trophy final, and have already qualified for the play-offs at the end of March (I'm in first by 11 points with 2 games in hand, so the play-offs don't concern me too much at this stage, but it's all good. ).

Yeah, but we're going to be massacred in the first division (Championship). I bet I can't get half the loan signings I could in Division 1.

Went for jobs with Lyon and Middlesbrough. They weren't interested.

OK, here is the table I made a fuss about in the A/C forum. Still can't get the attach files to load though.

                      1. Hartlepool United W 29 D 16 L 1 F 72 A 24 Points 103
                      2. Sheff Wednesday W 27 D 11 L 8 F 76 A 43 Points 92
                      3. Swindon W24 D 13 L 9 F 75 A 32 Points 85
                      4. Tranmere Rovers W 21 D 17 L 8 F 64 A 40 Points 80
                      5. Hull City W 21 D 14 L 10 F 70 A 51 Points 78
                      6. Brentford W 19 D 13 L 14 F 78 A 57 Points 70

If anyone can be bothered to html this into a proper table then to them.

                      I won, easily!

                          Nice work!

Now, if you ever get really bored, you can work these into a proper line-up.

(left-sided players always first, then centre, then right-sided)

                          Subs

It would be nice if I know for what formation this is.

4-4-2 of course! This is English football we're talking about.

Yeah, that's Aaron Lennon, though I got him from Leeds reserves. I've got him, Abeyie and Whitbread back for next season in the Championship, joined on loan by Eagles from Man U, and Elliott from Millwall.
Plus anyone I can get on the cheap once their contract runs out.
