Yeah, unfortunately we bought their only good player last year, and he's been injured ever since. Mind you, I did manage to bring in Robinho.

I'm inspired to play the demo again as Shrewsbury Town, and come back with a half-season report.

I only, er, know of this tactic.
sorry duke - you seemed to get the flak that should have been mine.
I do feel guilty about this, but i did choose newport, who in RL are fourth from the bottom of conference south. So i needed some 'edge'. Still i felt very bad when upon sending my £30mill duffer of to chelsea, there was a press article where my ex-player talked about hoping he could handle the pressure of expectation on his shoulders at such a big club and he was now valued at £20,000(he'd been worth £2000 at newport).
So yeah i'm guilty about my dirty cheating tactic, but i've decided what i'll do is repay the £30million when i get to the premiership(whenever that may be).

so sorry for being a dirty cheat - its me and not the duke's fault.

CM5 is still rubbish though, for anyone confused over what great game we're talking about

                Well the problem is solved!
My "so-called" friends bought me CM 2005 for my birthday, and since I won't see them for a week, gave me it today. It was nice knowing all of you.

FM2005 was my first FM (aside from demos ). So I started as Newcastle. I have to get back into the game, because I put it down for a while. I haven't done all that great (mid table or UEFA Cup) but this year I've put together a team that should do very well (and have so far).

Btw, I sold both Dyer and Jenas pretty early for good paydays . With the money I bought Drogba and Claudio Lopez, who've both kicked serious ass.

I think he means FM2005. The CM game isn't called 2005 right?

                      Unfortunately, yes.

But I finally found FM2005, though I haven't installed it yeat, weary of what it might do to my life.

                            Cufk occ.

Newcastle start with £17.5m, which is silly, or so I thought until last week.
Hartlepool, on the other hand, start with £18k.

I played two games with the Monkey Hangers (not inspired by all Agathon's Mackem jokes in OT ), and impressively drew 1-1 with Preston after leading 1-0 for most of the friendly, but then fell 1-0 at Barnet of all places.
I have tried to buy Faustino Asprilla though.
                                We're negotiating his wages.
