BTW Dylanna is my "help the noobs" character. That's why it was so fricking hilarious that I blew you up trying to get that bandit She's the "nice counterpart to Eerieth".
Hehehe - Help! The noobs are under attack from bandits! - BOOM! - The smoke clears, to leave MANY dead bodies - oh whoops, I may have overdone that
Heh, you all made a good profit from the situation though

I'm going to give this game anoher try... I got it at release but never really played it much, for whatever reason. And every time I've tried since then I've found it rather daunting to get familiarized with it again.
I'm geting the two expansion packs, so that's even more stuf to deal with. Is there a mod where you can just goof off, level up at will, and have access to all the different kinds of equipment - a sort of 'training' mod that I could use to get the hang of everything?Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

Look on NeverwinterVault for stacks of training mods, character levellers, free shopping areas, combat testing etc...

I found a good training mod that's got everything you could want.
I could use some character creation advice, though.
I like to make unusual and unorthodox characters - I know they aren't going to be the most powerful guys around, but I like to try to make them at least useful in some regard and atleast not completely gimped. What I want to make is a Gnomish Barbarian.
My original concept was to make him a dual wielder, and later learn profficiency with exotic weapons and use a whip in the main hand and a hammer in the off hand. I think this is perhaps a bit too 'out there' to be even close to practical, however... but I'd like to hear any ideas on the matter anyways.
Alternatively I was also toying with the idea of specialising in battleaxes (which are twohanded for gnomes) or possibly even spears ('though I might prefer a gnomish fighter for that... a spear doesn't seem very barbaric to me, for some reason)
But what would you do to make a gnome as good as a barbarian as it could be?
EDIT: And what stats would you recomend? For the two-handed battleaxe idea I was considering using the weapon finesse feat and not trying to boost my strength very much beyond 10 or 12, and instead going with 15 dexterity (which would later be boosted to 16) and 18 constitution, and 13 intellignceLast edited by General Ludd; July 10, 2004, 12:05.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

Nah, take a twohanded rapier, and max out STR
You'll be killing machine, 'cos you can use the rapier twohanded to get 1.5 x your STR bonus, with the extra large crit range of the rapier too.
Light weapons suddenly become useless when you are faced with damage reduction.
Oh, and you can't finesse a battleaxe

Personally, I've been fooling around with the idea of a half-orc bard. It'd be a combat-oriented bard, naturally, but supported by Curse Song (his singing would be that awful ). Maybe multiclass into RDD.

Another thing I was thinking about: A sorceror or wizard Dwarf with exotic weapons proficiency that swings a dwarven war axe around.
But is this even possible without multiclassing to a fighter or other melee class? I didn't have the exotic proficiency available even with the prerequisites met...
or does it also require martial profciency first?Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse
