There is a readme to tell you exactly where they go and what you have to change.

    ACK!

    • This is true.

Put the .mod in the folder .../NWN/modules and the .hak in the folder .../NWN/haks and then select "new game", and Dungeon of Apolyton.

Make the changes to your .ini file as listed in the readme for a generally better NWN experience. Like free camera movement, full blood effects etc.

You can get the DoA here :

I'm quite proud of the new ranking of #64 *giggles*

the original campaign isn't that bad. I like some things about it. I actually played it through twice. The first time in multiplayer with my brother. And just for the hell of it I played it through again with a barbarian with an intelligence of 6 . All the way to the end. The ending isn't that great. But I like that lost city. The trial is okay. Some of the areas are a bit repetitive. But it's not so bad.

        • I actually chose to play the OC last, since people said the expansions were better. Indeed they are, but the OC is still pretty decent.

Can you play them with a lvl1? I've never tried and SoU says "for advanced blah...".

            • SOU you can play as a level 1 character. In fact, that is recommended. It would be too easy otherwise.

HOTU you need a level 13 character. If you are less, then it will boost you up. In fact, HOTU is a continuation of SOU in some ways. You'll end up around level 13 at the end of SOU./

              • Alright- I'll go back and play it! I didn't want to have to go through the whole original campaign to get a good character just to replay SoU.

                • Dungeon of 'poly works fine.
I didn't actually play very much last night (only got as far as Asmodean's shop) because I was fiddling about with installations of BGII and Tutu, but I had to just test that it worked all right. And it er, does. I may well leave it for a while until I've finished the OC (isn't this some kiddy show on Channel 4 imported from the US? ), but I'll probably end up playing that, the DoA and BGI all together in some horrible mix, with a day on each, though not necessarily in sequence.

                  • It all sounds nightmareish Don't start getting the games mixed up in your head, or you'll be DOOMED!

I found another exploding badger picture to show you all. This was taken moments before the first one:

                    • Mmm...... Lady wizard toast.

I'm looking to go on a fighting tour of the Forgotten Realms. My NWN character is a fighter with some, though no realistic, hope of one day becoming an arcane archer, I'm thinking of playing Tutu as either a dual katana freak or a high-kickin' monk, so it would make no sense whatsoever to inflict a half-orc barbarian on the good denizens of Apolyton and their cowardly henchfolk.

As Diss was saying, it's basically 2 games, with the OC then SoU/HotU as a second game. Trouble is, if you plan your character well you will be unstoppable at the higher levels in HotU. Although HotU probably is the better game starting at level 13 seems wrong somehow.

                        • I am slowly working my way through SoU. Just entered the Interlude. My rouge be doing good work so far.

Is it normal to not be able to get a Henchman during the Interlude? One is dead on the ground after the stinger attack, and the other won't talk to me at the moment.

Stopped playing the OC after Chapter 2....it just got blah

                          • STOP! You need to go back to an earlier save. The hostile henchman at that point is a known bug.

                            • Good thing I have that! How far do I need to go back? Just before talking to Drogan and moving on to the interlude?

                              • I think the henchman dying is the trigger. If you have a save right at the end of chapter 1, or right at the start of chapter 2 it should be fine.
