CTP PBEM Challenge Ladder June 2006

Personally I want the ladder to show the active players only.

If “one” have not been in an active challengegame for say 3 month (or 6 months, but not more) – then “one” should be removed from the ladder.

As for getting the score-board cleared or not for a player returning to the ladder. Well, some would probably like to have it cleared. To make a fresh-start so to say. Especially if “one” has many lost games and only a few wins on the scoreboard. Anyway – if that isn’t a problem for the one managing the ladder, I’m fine with whatever decided…… as long a the returning player is placed on the ladder equal to a new player (according to note 1, 2 and 6).

If someone wants a “history” for players off the ladder, then it could be something like this:

with no internal ranking.

Should some want a kind of ranking/history, a “day of removal” from the ladder could be added, so the most recent “removed” is “ranking” highest on the list.

Again, the one managing the ladder should agree with whatever decided as such a list can’t maintain itself.

I do agree with keeping inactives off the ladder

I have been somewhat diligent about that (see post #2)

I do have a list of all inactives on excell, just no details (I dont want to bother--removed is removed).

Personally, I think 3 months is very "generous". Sometimes people come up MIA due to internet outages or financial restraints or even extensive PC Damage.

3 months should be acceptable, not dictating merely sharing is all

1.not played a turn in X amount of turns
(needs to be reported by player)
2.not accepted a game in x amount of time(months-1 year)
