Is a *bump* necessary, or went Hobbes skiing?
Incoming eh? Check my place in the graph, they've done their job already at my place.

Oh, you have a real enemy? I'm only sparring with IoD's.

'15 is on.
And of course I prefer to keep CV around as a way to dim runaway factions.

MY 2115 to Hobbes
Personally I like neither Cooperative Victory on or off. Neither option leads to a realistic diplomacy. If Cooperative Victory is off, a pile-up on the most powerful faction almost becomes inevitable, which isn't very realistic. I don't see a general alliance against the US these days. Cooperative Victory on I personally find even worse. That just stiffles most diplomacy, as two permanent alliances are almost destined to grow.
What would be realistic is if people just tried to end up as high as possible. So if I was the second most powerful facton I might try to form an alliance to bring down number one, but if I was number three I might want to form an alliance with number one against number two to become number two myself, even if this meant I wouldn't officially 'win' the game. IMO this leads to a more fun and creative diplomacy. It also keeps the game interesting for the less powerful factions. They might want to ally with the powerful for military protection, or to defeat anothe minor power.
