Oh, missile or gatling lasers are fine for me.
Erm... I mean level 5 or 6 weapons here.

CV on or off makes no difference to me. I don't remember any discussion on aircraft weapons but I'm happy with whatever agreement is reached.

Since AAA is researched before needlejets I don't fully see the need of an aircraft weapon restriction. But if there is one, may I suggest instead of a fixed maximal aircraft weapon, that the maximal aircraft weapon can be (rounded up) half of the best weapon you currently have researched. So if level 6 weapons are the best, you could produce level 3 rounded up to 4 weapon aircraft. If you had level 10 weapons, you could produce level 5 weapons. (I don't know the reshuffled weapon names by heart myself )

I've made an update to SMAniaC, including a few changes to alphax.txt. Now I'm wondering if you guys would prefer to use this new alphax.txt, or rather stick to the current alphax.txt.
Here are the three changes to alphax.txt:
Mineral restrictions are now lifted with researching Industrial Base instead of Industrial Automation. This was done so that the Cult doesn't have to research all the way to Industrial Automation before being able to profit fully from their fungal mineral bonus which they now have with the update.
Mining platforms now again produce one instead of two minerals in the beginning.
The tech which gives a +1 mineral bonus has been moved forward from Bionanomachinery (a level 7 tech) to Industrial Automation.
As far as I can see these changes combined mean there isn't any effect on the early game for aquatic factions. Mining platforms still provide one extra mineral at Industrial Base, and two with Industrial Automation. It does have an effect on the later game after Bionanomachinery is researched, but that's intentional. With yet an extra mineral at Bionanonics on top of the two minerals mining platforms now give, they would be way too profitable when compared to tidal harnesses.
But of course one could put forward the argument that's it's a big no-no to change rules while a game already is busy, so if you want we could stick to the old alphax.txt for this PBEM.
