It was a black day for the Atlantean Kingdom.
Lives and equipment were lost, resulting in a setback for the Kingdom's expansion.
It was discovered that Planet is tectonically less stable then Earth. An exploration team investigating one of the dropped unity pods triggered a seismic event, resulting in the loss of several crews and vessels.
The council was demanded by the people to answer how this could happen, and voices came up if such expeditions should continue to be undertaken if the risks were seemingly so high. Was it not better to go into total isolation, letting all those other newly discovered factions for what they were? Surely the subsea realm of Atlantis was of no interest whatsoever for surface dwelling people? And why risking lives on expeditions to far-flung coasts on which never again an Atlantean would set foot?
