can you pm me links to actual threads and attachments that are not working? This will make it easier for me to map out what is missing. Thank you!

Some skins that aren't transparent and have a different color scheme would be nice

Thanks for the hard work, but yes, new themes would be appreciated soon .

will there be a white on black version? This is somewhat like the old MOO3 skin from way back when.

I second this. In order of annoyance:
              1) White text on black for forums??! Did we come back to DOS times? There is a reason why all text editors and most of the web pages with lots of textual information are black text on white IT IS EASY TO READ on monitors.
              2) Background image destructs. There should be an option to turn it off
              3) Overall site is too bright, to destructing. I come here to read news and communicate, not to be abused by colors, moving text lines, etc. It may be cool looking for someone, but it is so bad in terms of function and use. It is like designed by 5 year old, who likes bright colors and moving things, seriously!
              4) It is slow when used in Firefox in any other magnification but default.
I guess most of it can be solved by different toned down skin, may be similar to what was here in the past, not sure about last item. May be removing moving text will help.

I really appreciate effort, but the site now becomes close to unusable for me.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so
certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

I'll get used to it if you can make it so the forum can be the whole width of the screen instead of me having to read what essentially amounts to a newspaper column-width bar of text in the middle with a pointless background image taking up all the screen space.

Go into options and change the theme to Flexible Width (at the bottom). It helps a bit.

Ah, thanks, that is better. The background image is still annoying, though. What's with the Halloween color scheme?

Is the orange meant as a reference to our filthy Dutch masters?

The multiquote button is pushed down a line on any of my posts (i.e. posts by the person currently logged in). Default skin, latest stable version of Firefox. Works fine on the wide skin.

The footer at the bottom of the posts is not rendering correctly either.

Robert, It is nice to see poly back up and running. But may I suggest that you write a post on were poly is going and the end state goals? Right now all people see is that you upgraded to VB4, and have a new themed look. And it supports user blogs, I'm probably missing other nice things but this is my first impression. But if you have alot more planned it would be good to hear of your vision for poly and what it will offer the Civ community.

The extra wide is NICE. thx. Now just the transparent aspect, which i'm sure will lead to seizures in some.

Extra wide is good. I look forward to other color combos, but they can wait.
