Flip? More like a hurdle with a hearty push from Utah that sends Oregon down to the ground. I wouldn't bet on the Ducks to beat teams in the middle of the Pac right now.

The Pac North is a a train wreck right now, with its best team (Stanford) having laid the biggest egg in a non-conference match-up of any of the teams. Looks to me like either Stanford or Cal will win the north division title. UCLA is looking like the team to beat in the south, and that sucks, as Jim Mora is a Grade A douchenozzle. I almost would rather see Lane Kiffin succeed over him. Almost. But Mora is at least a competent coach, so there is that.

As for Oregon... yeah, fire Helfrich. I like him as a person, but he's clearly in waaaaaay over his head. He does not have the swagger and balls needed to be HC for team like the Ducks. Last year's run to the NCG seems inexplicable based on what I'm seeing this season. Losing Mariota to the NFL shouldn't have caused this much of a drop off. They've had better recruiting classes lately than ever in the school's history--what's to show for it? Fire Don Pellum, too--he is absolutely awful as a DC. Oregon's defensive players have absolutely no idea what they're doing in any given moment while on the field, and I'm pretty sure that's the same for Pellum. I'm on the fence about Scott Frost, who might have also lost his mojo, but it could be that he's stymied by Helfrich's lack of leadership.
