The Big 12 is being humiliated. The shellacking the Sooners got today at the hands of Clemson has to be a low point for the program. Texas getting beat was not surprising, but the level of the beatdown they got was.

I went to the Hog-texas game last night, and being an old-school Hog fan, last night was very satisfying. Offense was efficient, and D was totally dominating. Texas had negative yards for the 3rd qtr. Held Texas to the lowest offensive output in FBS this season. 59 total yards, and about half of that was on their last possession.

My 3rd Hog bowl game was finally a winner.


And Oregon is who I am rooting for as well.

Just what do you think they're going to win besides a consolation game? It just a game for teams that weren't good enough.
Any team that wins the two real games will be the only team considered #1. By right of beating two good teams. TCU at best can only win one more game.
Their record is looking not as good with the weakness demonstrated by their conference mates.

Assuming the Stanford drubbing of Maryland holds, the Pac will be the only undefeated conference in bowl games after today, since LSU lost to Notre Dame. That won't last beyond tomorrow, in all likelihood, since I'd give Boise State pretty good odds to beat Arizona. The Wildcats were really banged up before and during the Pac 12 championship game. Plus, the Broncos seem to just know how to win bowl games.

I can actually see TCU jumping in the standings, given that certain scenarios pleay out. Unlikely, but possible.

If TCU wins its bowl game, they could feasibly end up as #3 in the final AP rankings, sure. That would require Baylor losing, though, which would make the Big 12 as a whole look even weaker. I doubt the HFs could reach #2.
