While I feel his pain, I'm not signing on to this crazy train of lost revenue.

His final campaign behind him, Gov. Mark Dayton(Minnesota) plans a battle next year over a minor but very personal issue: the start time for University of Minnesota football games.

"They talk about the concern about attendance at the Gopher games -- they start them at 11 o'clock in the morning," Dayton said Tuesday in an interview with the Pioneer Press. "I'm going to propose that we pass a law that no (Division I FBS) football game in Minnesota can start before noon."

EDIT: UCLA wins 40-35, their D having played like warmed-over poop in the 2nd half. They had 13 or so penalties.

Looks like Oklahoma State will be the conference's last remaining hope of having more than 1 bowl win.

I read somewhere that if the BCS was still in play this season, we'd likely be looking at a National Championship of Alabama v. Florida State (no way a national championship game is leaving out an undefeated P5 team in favor of a one loss one). The playoff is already playing dividends as it appears to be best way of getting rid of SEC bias for national championships (well, up until the committee decides to stack the deck and throw 2 SEC teams in).

Nah. First, the championship game result won't matter (to TCU), basically because Baylor lost.
Second, both remaining teams proved they belong and are deserving.
Plus, we're pretty used to Ben playing the victim card for all his favorite teams -- San Diego Chargers, Vancouver Canucks, and now TCU.

Illinois State lost to North Dakota State in the FCS Championship game. This was the fourth in a row by NDS, but at least ISU made a game of it, scoring first, then coming back from being twelve down and taking the lead. But they left too much time on the clock and couldn't stop NDS from scoring. ISU had a final chance but unfortunately threw an INT to end the game. Even if was complete they would have had to try a throw to end zone. Congrats to them for making it close and to NDS for wining four championships in a row. That doesn't happen often in any sport.

NDSU is a goddamned juggernaut. They even lost their coach this season, and they still rolled over the FCS like it wasn't even there, other than the championship game yesterday, where the scored the go-ahead TD with 30 seconds left.
