Biggest news of the week: the B1G is out of contention for the playoffs. Michigan State was their best and only hope, and losing to Ohio State means that the conference is now going to be shut out. Barring some inexplicable losses among the other top teams, of course.

OU and WVU drop out of the rankings, which does ding the Big 12's SoS a little. Still, I'd give the Big 12 champ the edge over the B1G champ now that Michigan State is out of contention. It will be most interesting to see where Baylor is ranked by the committee, as they are breathing down TCU's neck in the AP and Coaches' polls. The committee hasn't given them much respect, for some bizarre reason.

Oregon jumps Alabama as they did in the CFP poll last week, which is doubly fun. Now they have a bye week to heal up some. And then they have two more almost-byes against conference bottom-dwellers Colorado and Oregon State before they play in the Pac 12 championship game.
