Oh, and the "HAHA" play of the week: Utes up 7-0 and one of their receivers was coasting in for a 70+ yard touchdown, but dropped the ball at the goal line before crossing the plane. Oregon player picks it up and goes 100 yards back for a TD. Now it's 24-10 Oregon at half.

Alabama has broken LSU hearts in similar situations before. But I doubt they pull it off this time.

EDIT: LSU kicking it out-of-bounds wasn't a great way to start, but Alabama's offense has done jack crap this game, so...

Not really. LSU got screwed on one, and possibly two uncalled interference non-calls. The second one was maybe doubtful, but not the first one.

Even with that, LSU's D could have held on that last drive and prevented Bama from getting into field goal range. That they didn't is again on the coaching, just like what happened last year.

Biggest news of the week: the B1G is out of contention for the playoffs. Michigan State was their best and only hope, and losing to Ohio State means that the conference is now going to be shut out. Barring some inexplicable losses among the other top teams, of course.

Florida State remains unbeaten, but it wasn't exactly an impressive victory over a mediocre Virginia team. Auburn's loss means the top 4 will have a bit of a shake up: Oregon will probably move to #3, but I honestly don't know if Alabama or TCU will move to #4. The committee isn't predictable as of yet.

Pac 12:

Oregon: The score over Utah looks much bigger than the game felt. The absurd certain-TD-drop-becomes-defensive-TD play definitely changed the trajectory of the game. Still, 51-27 can't be sniffed at. The injury to center Grasu is really troubling, though.
Arizona State: Crushed Notre Dame and looked really impressive doing it. Assuming they win the Pac-12 South, the championship game will be intense.

Arizona: Good win over a resilient Colorado team that is far better than its record shows.
UCLA: Solid performance against the Huskies, especially in the first half.
USC: bye week

Stanford: Also a bye week. But they can't be too confident about facing a Utah team that will be very, very angry and looking for a win.
Utah: They definitely played the Ducks tough for the first and third quarters of the game. The problem is that Oregon scored 24 points in each of the 2nd and 4th quarters.

California: bye week
Washington: Husky fans freaking out over the season need to chill. Yeah, it's rough, but Chris Petersen will improve the team, without a doubt.
Colorado: This team should have more wins. But they don't.

Washington State: After the heart-breaking loss of QB Connor Halliday, it's nice that they get the win with their backup QB. Won't make a bowl game, but good to see a fight.
Oregon State: Ohhhh Beaver. Terrible. They suck. And with this loss, they are almost certainly not making a bowl game.
