  • The Michigan State-Nebraska game has become incredible. MSU was up 27-9 at one point. Now it's 27-22 and Nebraska is driving... with 42 seconds left.

EDIT: MSU intercepts it to ice it away. Was fun while it lasted...

    • I was one that thought Nebraska had it in them.

      • Utah has sacked UCLA's Hundley 10 times. Wow.

Meanwhile, both Cal and Washington State's D's have said "**** it" and are letting the offenses score at will.

Five top 10 ten teams lose in the same week. That's never happened before. Ever. Wow.

BOTH Arizona teams won. BOTH Utah teams won, but Brigham Young lost. Trees, USC, UCLA, CAL and Oregon all lost. Both Mississippi teams won. Wow.

                • I don't know what Washington State was thinking... They're down 1 point and are at 3rd and goal (at the 2 yard line mind you) with 16 seconds and 1 TO left. They decide to take the TO and KICK IT on 3rd down. They miss the field goal, so Cal wins. WTF?? Why not try one more pass play into the end zone, since the Golden Bears hadn't been able to stop them in the air all game? Why not try to punch it in??

Washington State had 812 yards of offense and still lost.

                  Cougs Coug'ed it AGAIN!

                  • Well this requires a pretty major reordering:

                    1. Florida State, only by default
                    2. Auburn
                    3. Baylor
                    4. Mississippi State
                    5. Notre Dame
                    6. Arizona
                    7. Ole Miss
                    8. Alabama
                    9. Oklahoma
                    10. Oregon

11-15 are any order of: TCU, Michigan State, Ohio State, Stanford and TAMU.

                    Pac-12:

Hard to know what to make of it after this week. Looks like the much-feared cannibalism of a conference with a good deal of parity has come to pass.

                    Arizona
                    Stanford

                    Arizona State
                    UCLA
                    Oregon
                    USC
                    Utah

                    Cal
                    Colorado
                    Oregon State
                    Washington

                    Washington State

Stanford once again seems to have lost due to a good deal of bad luck in a game they otherwise dominated, at least on defense. It is a bit ironic that both Stanford and USC lost their games on Hail Mary passes that should never have been completed. I'm feeling a little better about the Oregon-UCLA game next week, given the Bruins' performance this week. Their OL is worse than the Ducks', and it isn't due to injuries as it is for Oregon. I'd give us a 50/50 shot now.

It's fun to see USC fans calling for the head of another coach so soon. I guess they have soured on ol' Seven-Win Sarkisian.

                      • Interesting. They left TCU behind Sparty and 'Bama. I think I get their logic. They couldn't put Oregon ahead of Arizona, and couldn't have Arizona jump unbeaten TCU.

If TCU beats Baylor, they should jump Sparty and 'Bama. Nice. Hope TCU can pull it off.

                            • They won't pass FSU, though arguably they should have already.

It feels bizarre to be discussing Cowbell Tech in this manner.
