Biggio and Piazza are more than deserving.

Also (and **** y'all who disagree) a HOF without Clemens and Bonds isn't a worth being called a HOF.

Eventually MLB will doubtless create a committee to deal with the whole "deserving cheaters" category.

It's rare to see more than 2 or 3 get in at once, and this was an exceptional entering class. So Biggio and Piazza should get in next year. Not Jack Morris, though; his 15 years on the ballot are up.

Clemens and Bonds knew the rules and lied time and again. They have no ethics, and no one will ever know how they would have fared on their own.

Actually I think both were HOFers prior to them cheating.
At least in my opinion. But I think they deserve some punishment for what they did and waiting a while seems appropriate.
But I also think it will eventually be addressed.

MLB HOF voting has been a joke for as long as I can remember -- and I'm pretty ancient. While I generally agree with you, expecting change is unrealistic.

I'm sorry, I'm supposed to cry and be upset that PED players have to wait to get in behind players who were clean? Tough noogies. It's not like there's a shortage of inductees either. Pedro Martinez, Johnson and yes, Biggio will make an excellent class next year.

The only problem I have had with that type of thinking, which generally I agree with, is that do we really actually know who did and who didn't? In all honesty, AROD never tested positive. Now we have other information about it. But what about others. Yes people generally agree that Thomas, Maddux and Glavine where clean, but do we really know that with 100% confidence. There's been a lot of talk that if you followed the protocols, you wouldn't be caught. Who knows what will be uncovered in the future.

And the steroid thing seems to be a distraction to prevent folks from looking at the scores of players who took amphetamines (including Hank Aaron, mind). Interestingly enough if you look at offensive production, when steroids were banned it didn't really go down, but when amphetamines were banned, all of sudden, it seemed to drop.

I completely agree with the amphetamines aspect, but a lot of people don't seem to think it was as bad. I don't see a difference.

The cynical part of me says that a lot of people who don't think amphetamines were that bad are those whose heroes, when they were kids, did amphetamines (greenies or red juice). Easier to demonize players who you didn't idolize .

There were clean folks. If the hall is limited to the folks who were clean, I wouldn't shed a tear over it. If you have to use PEDs to compete maybe you ain't the best.

DO you have a truth machine that tells you for sure who was clean and who was not? I didn't think so.
