Now can we argue about whether or not Peyton Manning has a rocket for an arm?

Oh how about this:
Peyton Manning's status as an elite NFL QB has been tarnished by his repeated Super Bowl failures.
Tom Brady is the best QB of this generation. Manning puts up fantasy video game stats but can't win big games. To us, it is the BEAST.

Bradshaw won how many superbowls?
Does that make him one of the best quarterbacks in history?
And any metric that claims that ELI is better then Payton is suspect in my book. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

But if you were to make a list of the "worst QB's in history", Bradshaw would also be on it.
Also, flip the "good" list upside down and you have the "worst" list.To us, it is the BEAST.

Yeah, I watched the interview with Bradshaw about it, and he even laughed at his first win by saying that his skill had very little to do with the win except for his skill at handing the ball off and to watch the defense from the sidelines. He did take some credit for his later wins. I still like him and don't have a problem listening to him.
And yes I think he was a very good quarterback but wouldn't list him as one of the greatest. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I generally don't have strong sports thoughts or opinions about events that occurred before the mid 80's. I can't even prove the world existed before I got here... so yeah.
Ranking athletes is rarely a science. I might as well list my favorite flavors of ice cream.
I'm content with having Joe Montana on top of the list of best QB's... and maybe Peyton Manning in the top 5.
When it comes to Super Bowls, I think value at that position is proving to be important. Conventional wisdom may be to want the best possible talent at the position. But there's more to football than having great fantasy passing numbers. You need stars on both sides of the ball. It helps to have a lot of weapons around the QB on offense. It helps to have a stud defense. You can win games by being strong on D. You can win by setting passing records. You can win with a dominant running game.
Basically, you need to score more points than the other team. If you can do that, you'll win.
To us, it is the BEAST.

An 80s way of saying this is that anyone who claims that Joe Theismann is better than Dan Marino (based on the same metric) is suspect.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Eli Manning is the more successful Manning brother.
Trent Dilfer is more successful than Marino.
That's how sports is. All the talent and regular season video game numbers don't mean squat if you don't win.
Peyton had like, what, 10 yards at the half? A 46.3 rating.
So there's the "best QB in history" (as some would argue). To us, it is the BEAST.

Walter Payton never scored a touchdown in a Superbowl, yet I still consider him one of the greatest running backs ever.
You can't judge Manning on one game.
But yes, if you define successful as winning superbowls then yes Eli Manning is the more successfull.
If you define successful as getting to the superbowl. (which looks at the entire season) then Payton is the more sucessful.
It all depends on your definition. AN argument can be made for almost any measure. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
