I simply can not take seriously a grown man who calls himself "Beanie".

The fact that he went to Ohio State merely bolsters this position.

If you're able to get your guy every time, you're drafting him too early.

Last year was the first time I've overpaid for him. I drafted him 10th and he was 15th overall.

He was 4th and 5th the years previous, and I got him in the second round both times.

If you guys would stop leaving dominant QBs and WRs on the board long after they should be taken, then I'd stop picking them.

With only 10 of us in the draft I don't see the importance of the 2nd quarterback...while it is obvious that you have picked up a top bye week QB in Eli, I will be curious to see how often you take him off your bench in place of your 2nd round guy, Ryan. I would think that even if we all draft 2 QB's, there should be someone decent available as the 20th QB for the person who waits.

Am I missing something? I am happy to have the 1st round QB to use the max possible this year, but barring injury, the only week I want my backup for is the bye week, and using a 6th round pick on someone that you only want for 1 game seems early for me (even though I agree that Eli had better than 6th round numbers). We all have 1 QB (except Jag, who has 2 now)....I'll be interested to see how soon people take their backups.

Jaguar presumably intends to spot start Eli when he has good matchups, as Eli is capable of really huge numbers against some defenses, and Ryan might not always put up big numbers.

Drafting with the goal of affecting a single player in the draft is almost always a terrible idea. Most of us understand that Fantasy Football is a man-versus-world game, not a one on one game, during the draft at least.
