They didn't. They lost to Detroit and had to back in.

This game 7 is the first meaningful game the Canucks have played, probably all year. Q'ville can't be happy bout the way his team played, they escaped with one today.

All the Canucks can do is beat them on the scoreboard, and the Hawks ducked and weaved and got one in OT. That's not going to happen every game. Canucks came very close to finishing them, but just couldn't pot the goal.

I think Anaheim is the worse matchup for this edition of the Canucks. Anaheim knows how to get it done, and has been playing excellent hockey. The Blackhawks are only a threat when they put the effort in.

I was expecting the Hawks to come out on fire. Instead Detroit pasted them 2-0 and managed the rest of the game.

Never should have been in OT in the first place. Calling a penalty shot in the playoffs to change the game is ridiculous. Pity. Canucks outscored the Hawks over 3 periods, and it wasn't enough.

I'm hoping we'll see the zebras let them play again so we can have a great game 7 again. That would make the games actually worthwhile to watch and not scripted.
