Oh sure, keep trying to help your crazy Ben Kenobi who thinks Doug Flutie was better than John Elway and Jim Kelly and who thinks Testaverde deserves to be in the Hall of Fame That Testaverde and Flutie had most NFL wins among Heimann-winning QB's just speaks to how terrible Heismann-winning QB's have been in the NFL.

The best college QB's always suck in the NFL, even without Heismanns. Where's Ken Dorsey and Colt Brennan now?

The list is only the last 15... Jim Plunkett won the Heismann and he won 2 Super Bowls.

    • I've always thought teams should stay away from Heisman winners at any position. Most of them have been busts.

      • Oops. Forget Staubach won the Heismann as well!

Jim Plunkett: 72 regular season wins plus 8 playoff wins and two SB's
Roger Staubach: 85 regular season wins plus 11 playoff wins and two SB's

4 Super Bowl wins between those two Heismann-winning QB's

Why stop at QB? Throw in RB and see if it changes. You're comparing apples and oranges, and throwing in pears too.

              • Flutie's an odd case. If you look at his career, he never got a fair shake in the NFL. He's clearly the most talented and proficient of all the heismen winning QBs.

Wins by an RB seems a little odd. RB's aren't in command of the huddle.

                  Here's the last few Heisman-winning RB's:

                  Mark Ingram
                  Reggie Bush
                  Ron Dayne
                  Ricky Williams
                  Eddie George

                  Rashaan Salaam
                  Barry Sanders
                  Bo Jackson

                  Mike Rozier
                  Herschel Walker
                  Marcus Allen

                  George Rogers
                  Charles White
                  Billy Sims
                  Earl Campbell
                  Tony Dorsett

                  Archie Griffin
                  John Cappelletti
                  Johnny Rodgers
                  OJ Simpson

Much more accomplished group. I'll take a 50/50 chance of getting a Herschel Walker or Ricky Williams (or maybe better) when the alternative is a Ron Dayne or Rashaan Salaam.

Sloww does this a lot. I think he meant to quote demonbinder and not you but even had he done that, it's like, Sloww, you're the one presenting this data

                  • Saw this that might be interesting... Chad Ochocinco, Andre Johnson, Santana Moss, and Antonio Brown doing receiver drills:

It's amazing how fast their legs move. You don't appreciate it unless you see it from this close. I'm a little amused by how much Santana Moss struggled on the first cone drills (what's the deal at Redskins camp?) and holy **** is Andre Johnson huge.

I saw Flutie in his prime. You did not. I stand by my opinion of his abilities watching him tear up the CFL.

Colt Brennan tore up the WAC. Broke collegiate record after record. 58 TD pass season. Twenty 400-yard passing games. 70.4% completion percentage. #2 all-time in TD passes at the college level.

                            One of the best statistically:

                            Some of Brennan's achievements include:
Second all-time in most career touchdowns responsible for (146). Achieved November 23, 2007.
NCAA record for most 400 yard games (20). Achieved in 2007.
Tied NCAA record for most career touchdown passes by a quarterback-receiver combination (39 to Davone Bess). Achieved November 23, 2007.
NCAA single-season record for most touchdown passes, achieved in 2006 (58)
NCAA two-season record for most touchdown passes, (96, achieved 2006-2007)
NCAA record for passing efficiency (season), posting a 186.0 mark in 2006
NCAA record for most points responsible for (season) with 385. (2006)
NCAA record for highest pass completion percentage (70.4%).
Second all-time in career touchdown passes (131) behind Graham Harrell.
Fourth all-time in total passing yards with 14,193 behind Graham Harrell, Ty Detmer and Timmy Chang.
                            But it's not the NFL.

Dude, Flutie owned all of those CFL records when he retired. Not 4th or whatever. Owned.

And the only reason why Colt is 4th in yardage is because he only played 3 years. Graham Harrell, Ty Detmer, and Timmy Chang each played 4+ years.

The entire point is that I'm not going to act like Colt Brennan who now plays in the UFL is the greatest QB of all-time because he was possibly the greatest COLLEGE QB. Who gives a **** if Flutie was the greatest CFL QB?
