Al, I wouldn't mix play and money. FF is a very fun thing to play, but once you start making it for money, losing just hurts to much. The one league I'm in is for very little money, but a world of bragging. That is what FF is about.Founder of The Glory of War, CHAMPIONS OF APOLYTON!!!

I forgot. I also have Jonathan Stewart but he's not very useful unless Deangelo Williams gets hurt. I'm sending some trade offers packaged with Joe Flacco to the guys with crappy QB's (Matt Ryan, McNabb, Kolb)"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

This is who I play next week:
Tom Brady
Michael Turner
Ronnie Brown
Greg Jennings
Malcolm Floyd
Jason Witten
49ers
Garret Hartley
My current starters:
Phillip Rivers
Jamaal Charles
Ahmad Bradshaw
Brandon Marshall
Jeremy Maclin
Vernon Davis
Ravens D
Lawrence Tynes
I think that's definitely winnable. Projections mean nothing but ESPN is projecting me to beat him. To be honest, I could win that game without a roster shakeup."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Al, whatever you do, don't drop anyone before offering a trade. Crabtree (who I personally think will be fine) is extremely attractive to most owners, and may help upgrade you in other areas (like sorely needed RB depth). Then snag Naanee (real deal, perhaps for the full year if they trade VJax) and Collie (who will get his fair share of Peyton's 4500 yds). I'm not sold on Mark Clayton; we've probably seen his best game. Remember, he's in StL. BTW, don't forget, AGonzalez is coming off an injury and is already dinged up. He's not a threat to take Collie's targets, and Garcon had a terrible Week 1.
My take on your others:
Gaffney -- worth keeping but not a must-have; decent upside in the WR3 slot.
Maclin -- as good as the Iggles QB, whoever that may be.Poised to disappoint.
SMoss -- has been overrated for years based on a few big games. Inconsistent, and a heartbreaker. On my permanent "let someone else have him" list.
So -- I suggest trading "any two but Marshall" (among Crabtree/Moss/Maclin/Gaffney) for one quality RB, then filling out the roster with Naanee and/or Collie. And if you can't swing a trade, don't panic. (But I would grab Naanee and drop Santana in a heartbeat.)

Thanks JRabbit. I fully intend to drop Moss (I traded for him in a previous year in this league and he disappointed me mightily) but I'm packaging him in my trade offers so hopefully I can unload him before the F/A pickups which are set for tomorrow night.
I also have Flacco who I need to unload. This is the same league I mentioned earlier where I have 3 starter-worthy QB's."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

The only thing stopping Crabtree at this point, is someone that can get the ball to him. He's poised.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

I have Bradshaw in IDP. I think this is funny. "We'd like to know WTF he's going to do."
RB Ahmad Bradshaw, whose debut as a starting NFL running back resulted in just 20 carries for 76 yards (3.8 yards per carry), apparently didn't help himself last week at times in the game against the Panthers. Head coach Tom Coughlin said that Bradshaw, who's known for changing direction without warning, contributed to the problems the running game had in the first half of the game because the blockers didn't always know where Bradshaw was heading. "We'd like to be able to get that all straightened out," Coughlin said of the plan moving forward to help boost the running game's production.

I got a trade offer...
I send Eli Manning, Jonathan Stewart, and Santana Moss for Larry Fitzgerald, Kevin Kolb, and CJ Spiller.
Umm... yeah. I don't need Kolb but take that, right?
I mean I was going to cut Moss, Stewart was going to ride the bench until Deangelo Williams got hurt, and Eli is one of three QB's so he's giving me no value. I'll basically get Fitz for nothing. I accepted it.
Sounds good, right? What's funny is Eli, Stewart, and Santana cost me $51 draft dollars while his combo cost him $95 back on draft day
So now my team will be looking like:
Philip Rivers
Joe Flacco
Kevin Kolb
Jamaal Charles
Ahmad Bradshaw
Justin Forsett
CJ Spiller
Larry Fitzgerald
Brandon Marshall
Michael Crabtree
Jeremy Maclin
Jabar Gaffney
Vernon Davis
Kellen Winslow
Free agency hasn't opened up yet but I have the space to add Collie and Naanee but I'm pretty set at receiver that maybe Brandon Jackson will have new relevance for me?Last edited by Al B. Sure!; September 15, 2010, 16:56."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Fitz isn't quite as good with no one to throw to him...
But still a good trade over all.Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

I still will take him for virtually nothing. Hell, if an offer comes, I'd flip him... I could see me working a package deal of Fitz, Crabtree, and Flacco for an elite RB and somebody else.
Mad I lost Grant for the season... I could have a pretty sweet team if I still had Grant.
Austin Collie bidding went crazy... I got Legedu Naanee instead.
Now the question is... Who is the odd man out? Bradshaw against IND? Charles against Cleveland? Marshall against Minnesota? Fitz against Atlanta? Naanee against Jacksonville? Maclin against Detroit is intriguing but I don't think I'll start him.Last edited by Al B. Sure!; September 15, 2010, 21:15."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
