I'll be rooting for the Canadians tonight for an all NA finals.
Then at least we'll have 4 blackhawks involved.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
RIP Tony Bogey & Baron O
I see that my prediction that the USA is the team to beat still holds true. Now, time for Canada to keep up their portion of the bargain.

Yes, you really went out on a limb there with predicting USA would beat Finland.

That wasn't all I predicted, but nice backtracking.

Their 5 minutes of this game doesn't mean they're the team to beat, either. I was giving you more credit than you deserved, it seems. I apologize.
And how the **** is that backtracking? JESUS ****ING CHRIST your stupidity could tear a ****ing rift in this universe and send us all back to the ****ing stone age.

I also predicted they'd beat Canada in the Gold medal match.

Khabibulin had his DUI charge upgraded to extreme DUI...it means minimum 30 day jail sentence.
No joke, but I think the Oilers lead the league in DUIs. Ridiculous.

Matt Stajan has agreed to terms with Calgary Flames on four-yr extension worth about $3.5 million per yr. Was going to be UFA on July 1.

The dismantling of the disappointing Edmonton Oilers looks to be underway. The club has dealt defenceman Denis Grebeshkov to the Nashville Predators for a second round draft pick in 2010.

An analysis of the trade that sent Denis Grebeshkov from the Edmonton Oilers to the Nashville Predators from an Oilers' perspective.

I'm not surprised you can find opinions, and that some Oil fans thought more highly of him.
Problem is he is inconsistent. Compound that problem with the Oil having too many like him (Visnovsky, Gilbert, prospects). Compound that with him making over $3 million. Put a nail in it with him being a risk for loss to the KHL.
Yes, it would have been nice to get more, but this is a salary dump and maybe an attempt to salvage something from nothing (if he wants to play KHL). The Oilers are not in a position of strength moving any of the people they want to move.
I won't be shocked if Grebs is not qualified by the Preds if they still own his rights on June 30. He was a candidate for that with the Oilers.

So Grebeshkov's first game after the trade is against the Oilers.
He has two points so far.

Sources: Leafs close to sending Ponikarovsky to Penguins

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a deal in place to trade forward Alexei Ponikarovsky to the Pittsburgh Penguins for defenceman Martin Skoula and prospect Luca Caputi.
The deal will become final after a trade call with the NHL.
Ponikarovsky was kept out of the line-up as a healthy scratch for Toronto's home game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Ponikarovsky will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and is earning $2.5 million this year. The 29-year old native of Kiev, Ukraine, has 19 goals and 22 assists in 61 games this season and is on pace to eclipse his career-high 23 goals set in 2008-09.
Drafted by the Maple Leafs in the 4th round (87th overall) in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Ponikarovsky has 114 goals, 143 assists and a plus-56 rating in 477 games with the blue and white.
Skoula, 30, has three goals and five assists in 33 games for the Penguins this season. The veteran blueliner will be joining his fifth NHL club after being drafted in the first round (17th overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1998 draft. He also skated for Anaheim, Dallas, and Minnesota before signing a one-year contract with the Penguins as an unrestricted free agent last summer.
Skoula is again eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. He is earning $575,000 this season.
Caputi, 21, is a Toronto native and was drafted by the Penguins in the fourth round of the 2007 draft. He has one goal and one assist in four games with Pittsburgh this season. The 6'2", 184 pound left winger has 23 goals and 24 assists in 54 games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL.
Details to follow.
