Berz, you're exactly right: It's not a big deal. It's a hand-made Losers Bowl, with the bonus of fresh discussions on rules and procedures, 3rd-party scoring, idiosyncratic deadlines, etc. I just don't find it remotely interesting. Sorry.

If no one loses, Jag has to make up 46 points on me to sneak into 6th.

Big Tuna's week 13 predictions.

I went 5-2 last week, and 16-12 over the last month,

Teh Peeled Bananas (2) vs Priapic Love Wow (14)

This is my prediction for Upset City. It won't be blowout of the week.

What to say about the Love wow. Turner and Marshawn? Matt Cassel as your starting QB. It would have been nice if he cared and managed his team, but he completes the set this week by going 0-13. EPW picks up win number 10 to go to 10-3 and stay in second place. EPW

DaBoys (9) vs Forte's Firemen (4)

Da Boys have won a surprising number of times given their point totals, while the Firemen have generally been strong performers since the Pierre Thomas trade. This streak will continue as Forte wins to earn their playoff spot. Snoopy

Hairball Express (12) vs Dallas Dwarf Tossers (1)

After a disastrous week last week, DDT squeaked out another win. I like both folks, but I'm going to go with slowwy here, just because I think his team has the better chance. Carson Palmer against Detroit is the key matchup, if Palmer gets decent points here, he should be fine. Slowwy.

Topeka Twisters (5) vs Detroit Deity Duo (13)

Interesting matchup here. If Topeka Twisters cannot carry this on out, they will be eliminated. If DDD puts in Reggie Bush, and Terrell Suggs that puts him about 5 down of Topeka Twisters. I can see now, why Berz was so worried about this matchup. If, and only if DDD puts in these substitutions, I'll give him the win. I think DDD will be on the ball this week. DDD in an upset to knock Berz out of his playoff spot.

Calamitous Intent (10) vs Mountain Goats (7)

Assuming Guynemer replaces Ryan with Henne, that gives him a 7 point disadvantage over the Mountain Goats. This will be an excellent matchup, but Guy I don't think will do as well as he is projected. Mountain Goats squeak in with a playoff spot as their award. Mountain Goats.

Deviations (8) vs Belichick Magnets (3)

The only match between two playoff eligible teams. Deviations are running with Mike Bell? Good luck. Even with DeSean out that puts Deviations down by 10 points in the projections. I don't think he's going to be able to overcome that gap. Zopper

Jedibolts (6) vs Vicious Rabbits (11)

Probably going to be the closest matchup of everyone. Cutler vs the Lambs on my playoff week? Damn. At least the other matchups aren't as favourable, but still, this is going to be tough. The Rabbits have played well the last few weeks, and 152 points is probably not going to be enough to win. If Marshawn is benched again I'll win. If Fred gets shut out, I lose, and that's all she wrote. Ben for a playoff spot.

Playoff Analysis: EPW

QB1:

The Schaubulous One is ranked 4/6 among playoff teams, behind Manning, Rodgers and Brees. He averages around 38.9 points a week. Far and away the highest average is for Peyton Manning who plays for Berz, and there is not much difference between all the other QBs. I'd rank his QB strength as Moderate.

RB1:

Maurice Jones Drew justified his ranking, and is number 2 among playoff teams. He's behind only Johnson. There is quite a gap between MJD and the rest, this is EPW's second strongest position. His RB1 is Strong.

TE1:

Greg Olsen is not a bad TE, he's stronger than Witten and Shockey. He's also not a particularly great TE, ranking well below Gates, Celek and Miller. He's of moderate strength here.

WR1:

What more has to be said about Reggie Wayne. Number one target for the number one QB, Peyton Manning. 'Nuff Said. Best possible strength at this position, and his number one competitive advantage over the remaining teams. Strong.

Now, we get to see EPW's depth.

WR2: Miles Austin. Only behind BM's Andre Johnson as a WR2, giving him the second best WR2. Once again, he is Strong at WR.

RB2: His pickup of Ahmad Bradshaw gives him his RB2. Bradshaw is ahead of Scott, this is his weakest starting position.

WR/RB3: Ted Ginn Jr. Ahead of Boldin, and Chambers who is the weakest flex. I'll rate him Moderate at this position.

So for starting offense he has:

QB1-Moderate
RB1-Strong
WR1-Strong
TE1-Moderate
RB2-Weak
WR2-Strong
Flex-Moderate.

You could have said:
