I was dancing in the street once St. Louis's pick was announced, because Suh or McCoy was a win for us. I'll admit I was enamored with Suh, but watching McCoy's reaction to getting picked, I know the Bucs made the right choice in not trading up. (It also felt good to be vindicated after I predicted back around the Super Bowl that the Rams would take a QB and everyone thought I was crazy until the "pundits" jumped on board two months later!)

And I loved watching Mel Kiper's reaction to the Broncos taking Tebow. Yes, Kiper, Tebow went in the first round and your golden boy Clausen didn't... suck it up, @sshole!

Good thing their coaching will find a way to destroy everything.

So what you're trying to tell us is that you're on the bleeding edge of stupid?

Detroit is on the brink of being a very good team. It started with cutting Millen.

Denver is comprised of idiots. Taking Tebow, and especially trading up and giving more money, was ridiculous.

I think people were scared off by that vicious hit Best took and his concussion. Too bad for them. He'll be good.

I want to find out what Sergio Kindle did to piss people off. He's a steal waiting to happen.

I like the pick. He's had no trouble, other than lying over something that wasn't illegal. Dallas can pick up OL in the next rounds. Safety would have been a reach.

Millen may be gone, but William Clay Ford is still the owner, so unless he's on the brink of dying, I don't believe this.

              • Then don't. The picks speak for themselves. I don't think you'll see Detroit taking a WR with the first pick for years on end again.

                • Slowwy, they kept trading down because no one was taking Tebow. They have quite a large number of picks.

Personally they are my favourites for the AFC West.

                  • Denver didn't keep trading down, the Pats did. If they traded down without my noticing, it was still a screw up.
Tebow was projected to go in the 2nd round at best, maybe even the 3rd.
Denver screwed the pooch by trading up to get him.

                      This.

Appearing on ESPN 101 St. Louis Friday morning, Adam Schefter confirmed that Sergio Kindle fell out of round one due to medical concerns.

"Definite medical issues," Schefter reported. "I've spoken to some teams that have him off their board (entirely)." The latest rumors have Kindle possibly needing microfracture knee surgery, which would knock him out for his entire rookie year. At this point, we'd be surprised if he's drafted in round two.

While I agree that I personally think they took him too early... We are talking "projections". It's possible that they "thought" somebody else would grab him first. From the sound of things, they REALLY wanted him. With that being the case, why take a chance of not getting him.

Denver traded down and then traded back up. A quick tally indicates they ended up trading the 1-11, 2-43, and 4-114 for the 1-22, 1-25, 3-87, and 4-119.

                            • The fact that Denver was willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to move up pretty much verifies that they're fools. Who do you think was going to grab him, or are you speculating? Speculation is fine, I'm just curious.

Just saying that neither one of us know all the facts. They may have heard something. Maybe some other team did think him worth a late first round pick. We just don't know.

My point being that it was a fact that they really wanted him. They had more than enough picks to pretty much to do what they wanted. If that's what they thought they needed to absolutely get him, I'm not going to call them stupid since I have no clue what other teams were saying besides what the talking heads at ESPN were saying/guessing.

I'm also curious on why they took him then, since as I said, I thought it was too early as well.
