I grew up with, and got used to, a player staying with one team.
I have 3 favorite players. Roger Staubach, Bob Lilly and Walter Payton. I think for me to name Payton says a lot for Payton.
EDIT: to add, it doesn't say a lot because I'm the pronouncer of greatness, only because of naming the other two as Cowboys and recognizing Payton rather than Emmitt Smith or Tony Dorsett, who holds a record that can't be broken.

NFL is the first sport I liked, so maybe that's why it's held my interest the longest, though if Snyder runs the Redskins into the ground, I might jump ship. Maybe by then I'll be old enough to enjoy golf
