I ain't making any more BAPAY's. I'm excusing myself from a few things.

BAPAY RULES
1. No BAPAYs in the first 3 rounds (within reason, Commish discretion).
2. Our draft pick time limit is 4 hours (8 hours for the turnaround picks at the ends of rounds).
3. Any league memeber is authorized to assign a BAPAY after time has expired.
4. A BAPAY pick can be exchanged for any player still on the board, within 14 picks (one full round).

ASSIGNING BAPAY PICKS
The BAPAY victim will be assigned the top player at Yahoo at a position of need, using the "Actual" filter for offense and the "Fantasy Points" filter for defense. Position of need will be decided according to the following priority list. Try to pay attention to Bye week issues, especially for QB and TE. However, this is not a strict requirement.

PRIORITY LIST BY POSITION
1. Any starting offensive position (QB, RB, WR, TE) -- includes 5 total RB/WR
2. Starting defender, in any order: 2-DBs, 2-LBs, 1-DL
3. Backup skill position, in this order: RB3 - WR3 - RB4 - WR4
4. QB2 (Bye alert)
5. TE2 (Bye alert)
6. RB5/WR5
7. QB3
8. DEF6/DEF7
9) Kicker

For our 22-round draft, an all-BAPAY team would be assigned as follows:
Round - Position
1-7) Offensive skill positions (2-ea RB and WR, 1-each QB, W/R and TE)
8-12) DL1, LB1/2, DB1/2
13-15) WR - RB until team has 4 ea.
16) QB2
17) TE2
18-19) RB5/WR5
20) QB3
21) DEF
22) Kicker

[ADDED 8/16, APPROX 2:25PM] -- If the indicated BAPAY player is hurt, suspended, retired, etc., that BAPAY should be discarded and replaced with the next player on the list.

Time limits between picks will be 4 hours from the time of the previous pick's posting; 8 hours for the turound picks at end of rounds. We are "on the clock" from 8am to 10pm Central Daylight Time, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK.

Any league member may impose a BAPAY once time runs out. These rules are designed to make things easy and avoid arguments.

If you have been BAPAYed, you have one round to swap out the pick and return the BAPAY to the draft pool. However, only players still "on the board" are available. Subsequent draft picks (including BAPAYs) are unaffected. No b1tching allowed.

If you're going to be away, PLEASE send instructions or a list of players you want via PM to someone else. You can also post in the thread -- "BAPAY me a tight end" etc -- to keep things moving forward.

Injuries, drug suspensions, arrests, etc. resulting in loss of a draft pick will be handled with a re-draft prior to the season's start.

Otherwise sounds fine, though I'd suggest QB2 before RB/WR 4, particularly in this league.

If, after being drafted, a player suffers a severe injury or is suspended by the league such that they lose significant playing time (projected to miss, say, 4 weeks or more of the regular season), the team may request a re-draft. Basically, the player is made a free agent and the manager may draft a replacement from the end-of-draft player pool. If there's more than one such case, draft order is determined by actual draft position in our league (e.g., if APeterson goes down, that's automatically the top redraft slot).

It doesn't come up too often, and it's not required. But it does allow managers who got screwed to put a band-aid on the owwie.

I'm open to swapping QB2 and RB/WR4 if there's a groundswell of support in that direction.

That's handled by the waiver process - for the first two days anyway. There doesn't need to be a special rule for it. Beyond that, it should be subject to normal free agent rules.
