And yes, to rank Oklahoma State over Texas is foolish.

It's no more foolish than ranking Texas over Oklahoma State.

Any ranking one week into the season is foolish! These teams have played one freaking game! Can we wait a few weeks, and gather some more data before passing judgment?!

Oklahoma State has had a more impressive season so far than Texas has. They completely deserve to be ranked higher.

I didn't say it was right to start the ranking! Damn! I didn't even put a ranking, Imran did.

Well, this debate can only be solved in Stillwater later this year.

Although, by that point, UT will still have 0 losses, and Oklahoma St will have lost at least 1 game and maybe 2. So

Who did Ohio St. beat? Wasn't it Pepperdine or someone?

They beat Navy 31-27. That's embarrassing for a team supposedly as good as Ohio State.

No. People always need to judge things. Especially if there is limited or no information. In a few weeks, there will be discussion of bubble teams for the basketball tourney.

Not embarrassing at all, although it is some indication that OSU is a little down this year. Navy can always put points on the board.

Wait so the "they played someone" ONLY applies to one team, which is the team that you want to rank #1? SHOCK!!

Arguing about rankings is why college football is more fun than pro football. Hence, why there needs to be some rankings to argue about.

                            Dude.

He's the ****ing punter. What did you expect?

On the other hand, he is named Zoltan Mesko, which is approximately eighty-seven different kinds of awesome.

The mighty Cal Poly Mustangs kick off the season this Saturday night vs. Sacramento State.

We lost our coach to Army, and have a young team.

Dan--any thoughts on the upcoming ND-UM game?

I am not a big believer in Michigan yet; one game against a MAC foe does not a comeback make. But neither am I a big believer in Notre Dame this year. I gotta figure Michigan is at least a little bit better than last year. Couple that with a change in venue, and I think it's a close game, but based on Notre Dame's drubbing of my Wolverines last year, I think the Irish win by a touchdown.
