Pretty embarrassing. The Wings clearly outplayed the Hawks from the get-go. In fact, I can't think of any area in which the Hawks were more impressive than Detroit.

At the beginning of the season, Hawks fans would have been thrilled if we were told we would make it to the conference title series. But after watching today's game, I have to agree with Jr. Lossing is one thing, but today was sad.

While it isn't over yet... I can hear a bunch of fat ladies singing

Overall, it has been a good year for a team that has sucked far too long.

I agree with Ming-- this was quite a step up for a team that should be back at this level again and again

Nope-- I haven't been to the homeland in about 10 months-- I just have some some business down east-- I actually fly back and forth through TO about every third or 4th week.

Funny how that works. Once a month I'm flying back and forth to the west coast...but Vancouver instead of Calgary.

I wouldn't give up yet, Chicagoites. The Red Wings got a bit overconfident in last years conference finals and let the Stars back into it after taking a 3-0 series lead. And the Hawks are a much better team than the Stars were.

I also wouldn't be too concerned with the emotional meltdown the Hawks had. They are young, and won't likely make the same mistakes twice. The Wings have brought out the worst in teams like that before; Asher no doubt remembers the implosion that Iggy and the Flames had against the Wings not too long ago.
