I was just reading about a guy here locally that got 10 years for intoxication manslaughter. I could be wrong, but I think it was a first offense.
People make this big deal over capital punishment in Texas, but in general, unless it's a weird happening where it falls through a crack, Texas is tough on all crime.
I knew a guy that stole a car. As soon as he got out, he went to Washington State. That's ok. See ya.

Favre Expected To Sign With Vikings Today

A high-level source with the Minnesota Vikings tells WCCO-TV's Mark Rosen that quarterback Brett Favre is expected to sign with the team Tuesday.

Favre is on currently on his way to Minneapolis and is expected to sign with the team this afternoon, the source said.

WCCO-TV spoke with an official at the Hattiesburg, Miss., airport, who saw an airplane with the Vikings logo leave the airport Tuesday morning. The flight number for that plane has been blocked from tracking systems.

WISN-TV, in Milwaukee, Wis., has learned that the plane carrying Brett and Deanna Favre will land in Minneapolis around 12:10 p.m.

Coach Brad Childress confirmed in an e-mail to The Associated Press Tuesday morning that the veteran quarterback was traveling from Mississippi to meet with the team.

Asked if the plan was to sign Favre on Tuesday, Childress replied: "In a perfect world."

I'm not entirely convinced of that, frankly. I'm not even sure that this year's Brett Favre is superior to Sage Rosenfels. But we'll see I guess.
