Einstein Observation: The first two hitters I picked (Teixeira & Huff) both have the exact same SLG (0.552). The next two hitters I picked (Ordonez & Granderson) also have the exact same SLG (0.494).

I went with the "build from the center" concept. 2nd Base, SS, CF. Then went off the beaten path to take the first RP, which followed my other startegy, buck the trend. Why keep picking what others had just picked? They'll still be there later; or someone projected to be as good.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Whereas I went with the "Tigers are really awesome" strategy. I hope it pays off.
Seriously, I figured Granderson & Ordonez both had off years last year, so I averaged their 08 stats with 07 and then compared. They beat the socks off all the other available hitters, so I figured they'll turn things around this year (cause I'm a fan and an optimist) and they were really good picks for where they were in the draft.
Just now however I found some 06 stats for both and... their 08 stats were nearly identical to 06, it was 07 that was the outlier.. *sigh*

I figure Mags is probably on the decline, 08 is probably more accurate. Granderson might improve some, though. Both were probably a reach, but what the heck, this is a game for a reason<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Drafting from the same team is a highly risky strategy. One of them gets injured and all of a sudden the other player's production drops if the injured player was involved in "protecting" that player in the lineup.
I went a bit more position scarcity value, going with SS, 2B, and 3B and then getting a high scorer OF. I was going to pick Oswalt in the 5th, but then decided to perhaps stock up on hitters and go on a pitcher run starting in the 7th or 8th round (and took Markakis). But when I saw Oswalt was STILL around in the 6th, I had to pull the trigger.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Yeah. I took Pujols and then changed it to Hanley Ramirez 30 seconds after JDD took him, so I got "stuck" with Pujols. I was sayin', "at least it wasn't A-Rod"."I predict your ignore will rival Ben's" - Ecofarm
