Dodgers left fielder Manny Ramirez prepares to head back into the field during a game against the San Diego Padres on Friday. Ramiez will be suspended 50 games for a positive drug test, The Times has learned.
The suspension, which is expected to begin with tonight's game, makes him the biggest star penalized under baseball's testing program that started in 2003.

Roy Halliday's win percentage, .671 is a point about Ruth's, and is in the top ten of all time in baseball.
The only notables above him are Lefty Grove at .680, Whitey Ford, at .690, and Pedro Martinez.

So I was at a Nats game last night and on the scoreboard they listed off scores for other games around the league. Some of them were marked with different codes/abbreviations I couldn't really identify. There was D, R, IR.

Three straight walk-offs for the Yanks have put me in a pretty good mood. They're still trailing, but they're back to respectability.
