  • I think part of the problem for Denver is this one:

    7 attempts, 4 rushing yards.

So happy they lost. Chargers only a game out of first and they still get to play Denver at home.

          • With all teams having played at least half their games, so is it too late for a playoff prediction?

            AFC:
            1. Tennessee
            2. Pittsburgh
            3. New England
            4. San Diego
            5. New York
            6. Buffalo

Notes: 1&2 seem obvious. The AFC West winner will obviously be #4 and Denver hasn't seemed so good lately, that leaves San Diego at #4. That also leaves #3 as the AFC East winner, the only question is who will it be? I like the Pats with Jordan and Morris coming back (and they're my team) Onto the Wildcards. Figuring all my divisional champs are correct, these are the contenders: New York, Buffalo, Miami, Baltimore, Indy, and Denver. I've already said Denver hasn't seemed too good lately. Miami is up to .500 on 2 wins, but I don't see them being able to keep it up. Indy is currently behind in the points differential. Baltimore is 5-3, but has yet to play any of the NFC East teams. That leaves Buffalo and New York. The Bills are 1-3 in their last 4 and 0-2 in their division, which doesn't look good if tiebreaker must be used. Other than the Favre INTs, the Jets have been looking good lately.

Also, can anyone see the odd scenario that would happen if my predictions are correct?

            NFC:
            1. New York
            2. Carolina
            3. Arizona
            4. Green Bay
            5. Philadelphia
            6. New Orleans

Notes: Once again, 1&2 seem obvious. Last week, I thought Chicago would be #3, but there is a guy named Rex that could be a problem. I now think Green Bay can take the division, but I don't think they will get a better record than the Cardinals will get. I did think the 'Skins would be able to get a wildcard spot, but they seem to keep proving themselves, then falling. That leaves Philly, which has been doing good lately after a rocky start, as the 2nd best NFC East team. New Orleans is my Cinderella pick.

He'll probably be in Dallas shortly.

                • The Bears could always sign him to carry Tillman and Vasher's water ...

... nah, he's not fit to do that either. Ah well.

He just costs a lot and sucks badly. Good thing the Falcons let him go

At least he'd be better than the tackling dummies they're going to have to put out in the secondary pretty soon to cover for injuries. But not at $70m.

That $70M is toast. They can offer him the NFL minimum if they want.

                              • He made $8m for those eight games, though. Sweet stuff. (Also, a 2nd and 5th round pick ...)

Javon Walker may be gone also, at $12m for 8 games so far ...
