Sweden's bound to get their asses kicked if the Spanish finals gene doesn't kick in - but that shouldn't really happen until the quarter final or so. Sweden is one of the four worst teams in the tournament. Greece just happened to be one of the three worst.

But perhaps Henrik Larsson can get a goal from the start as some sort of senior citizen discount.

Spain are having real problems containing the offensive power of the Swedes.

Still, 1-1 after the first half is a fair result, I think.

In the end a well-deserved win for Spain...even though they had to wait until extra time to get the winning goal.

Sweden were very disappointing in the second half. Just goes to show how important Zlatan is for them. They played almost Greek in the second.

The Czechs dominate play for 80 minutes and then collapse in last 10. How credible is that.

Anyway Turkey beats the Czech in boring tie.

I've only seen the second half, but Turkey seemed to be better most of the time.

I'm disappointed, I've always liked Czechia. But it's really their own fault, the way they gave that away.

The Turkish keeper getting red was funny though. Would have been more fun if there had been a penalty shootout though

Yeah, that was boring, but also expected. There's just no way Germany could have lost to Austria and with that, not much excitement.

Yeah, but come on. Germany wasn't even able to make an effort. Italy or France (or maybe both) goes out and Germany goes through?

It wouldn't surprise me Germany managed to go on and win this thing without ever actually playing particularly well. It wouldn't be the first time. They are the masters at winning ugly (except from Italy, of course).
