I enjoyed the Nashville / Detroit games FAR more than I'd enjoy Vancouver / * games...guaranteed.
Remember Vancouver / Dallas last year? Most PAINFUL series, EVER.

Nashville certainly deserves it a lot more than Vancouver or Edmonton.
Why?
The Canucks had a far harder schedule.
I wish we got 18 games against Chicago, St. Louis and Columbus instead of 18 games against Calgary, Colorado and Edmonton.

the Central wasn't an esay division this year. Chicago and Nashville had good teams.
The only good team there is Detroit.
Central was the second weakest division in hockey, only better then the Southwest division.

You are delusional.
Chicago and Nashville are both better teams than Vancouver.

That was an awesome series. Longest Canuck playoff game ever.

Yes, mighty mighty Edmonton...
The Canuck's schedule wasn't any harder than Calgary's. It's not noticably harder than Nashville's. Would you rather play Calgary or Detroit 8 times? Quit your whining.
As for why...
The Canucks are hideously one dimensional. There's no scoring, they're one of the most boring teams to watch. The forwards float and hit like pansies, the 4th line and the defensemen are filled with goons and cheapshot artists.
Nashville has a lot more heart -- look at what happened to their team last offseason. No one expected them to make the playoffs, but they did and played very well. They had a good mix of talent all the way through the roster.
Edmonton's points were massively inflated by the shootout, which I don't think earns them a right to the playoffs.

According to what? The standings?
I suppose then Vancouver is a better team then Calgary because of their head to head.
Colorado and Calgary are proving that our division is once again the toughest in hockey.

The Canucks were shut out 3 frickin times! Every game was the Longest Game Ever, even if it finished in regulation.

According to points.
Calgary > Vancouver.
Vancouver finished dead last in the division. Deal with it.
Nashville earned their points, they earned the playoff spot, and they fought very hard in the playoffs. It was a great series, far better than Dallas/Vancouver last year and certainly better than the 4-0 sweep Vancouver/Detroit would've been this year.

It's noticeably harder.
Since Calgary finished third in the division, would I rather the Canucks played them or Chicago? I'd take Chicago anyday.

True, the Canucks have flaws, so does Nashville.
Nashville has a lot more heart -- look at what happened to their team last offseason. No one expected them to make the playoffs, but they did and played very well. They had a good mix of talent all the way through the roster.
I expected them to do so, just because of the math. Unbalanced schedules = 2 slots getting in each division.
The Central division is really weak, which is why they struggled to get a second team in the playoffs.
Edmonton's points were massively inflated by the shootout, which I don't think earns them a right to the playoffs.
Edmonton would have beat Detroit again, the way they were playing.
I don't see how it takes heart for Nashville to go 500 against teams that are worse then them.

After tanking a meaningless game.

You were unwilling to bet on the 'heart' of Nashville.
Don't give me that garbage Asher. You weren't even willing to bet straight up that the Canucks would finish out of the playoffs.
Your exact words.

Why would anyone bet on the Canucks? In any way? As I said, it's a heartless, unpredictable team. You'd get more consistent effort out of dogs at the racetrack.
BTW, let's see if you can find out what's funny here:

....

There. fixed.

But why should they even try? The schedule precludes them from hitting the playoffs at all. Life is so tough to be a Canuck fan.
