NFL - Are You Ready For Some Football?!! - PLAYOFFS
Bad luck that he fumbled twice on the same play?
Hell of a bad luck.

Well if they had scored a TD, he wouldn't have been fumbling a FG snap with the slippery ball.

1. He choked on a good snap vs. Seattle.
2. He didn't step up his game against the Giants.
Look, Most QBs don't get two post-season chances in their career. You look at the sample size available. He's 27, has shown the capability for excellence. But Tony Romo simply has not -- as yet -- come through when it counted. I am NOT down on Romo. I'm simply stating the obvious -- that he will be judged by his post-season performance, fair or not.
I'm a Romo fan. I would take him in a hearbeat to lead my team. But of such occurences as yesterday are reputations made. That's not my fault. It's the way our instant-gratification world works.
He should be thankful he wasn't a first-rounder being thrown into the fire.

I'm more mad at the OL. One of the strengths, and they layed down. Those shotgun snaps were disgusting.

Well in last week's Pittsburgh-Jacksonville game if David Garrard had scored a TD, they wouldn't have had to kick a FG to win the game, so Garrard must be a choker too .

This is the same BS that was used to call Peyton Manning a playoff choker. Then he wins the Superbowl and all is forgiven. What a crock!

Romo's a good QB, but I wouldn't take him to lead my team.
I mean look at Dan Fouts. HOF QB. Never made it to the SB. His first 6! years he had more INT then TDs. Playoffs are a funny beast. Some who are fortunate like Roethlisburger get one right away when others like Marino never do.
I don't think anyone would take Roethlisburger over Marino.
It's to Romo's credit that the Cowboys have made the playoffs two years running, despite a coaching change.

You mean the other way around, right?
But I agree with the general premise. Sometimes the best QBs don't get to win and it has something to do with the team around them. I mean Terry Bradshaw won 4 Superbowls but had a great running game behind him and one of the greatest defenses of all time.
While someone like Marino had hardly any running game when he was there with Miami and sometimes good defenses but usually bad.

I agree Imran
One eprson says a QB is one memebr of team, anuther sais he is the team.
But if your O line aint for squat, if your wr's and TE dont get open, you'ss never flourish
Same with runnin game
or limited success
I am a fan of Jim kelly
he allways had a good team
But he will be another Dan Fouts through the years.
Evryeone rembre "Dan Coryle.or a.k.a. Air Coryle" frpom Charger days, he was an awesome QB but no SB
Jim Kelly and the Bills are the saddest story in pro football Super Bowl history.
They make Denver look like a success. That's saying something.

True, it is a crock. Peyton still choked even when he won, he was just bailed out by his defense (amazingly enough).

Perhaps an Elway example would clear the bias a bit better?

I'd expect a Pats fan to say that
So 7 picks vs. 3 touchdowns and a drop of 30+ points in QB rating vs. the regular season is a shining example of stepping up his game for the playoffs?
