49ers: Martz hired as offensive coordinator
The San Francisco 49ers hired Mike Martz to be their offensive coordinator on Tuesday, trying to revamp the Niners and the NFL's worst offense in 2007. Martz spent seven seasons creating the "Greatest Show on Turf" in St. Louis, but before that he spent time with current 49ers head coach Mike Nolan as they both served as assistants on the Washington Redskins.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Well, Smith had a FAR better QB rating last year, though 74 isn't that wonderful, it's something.

Crazy.
1st play, Packers opt to receive. Kicked to the 20, dropped, and recovered.
2nd play, Farve throws a screen pass, bobbled, gets hit by the Seahawks, and fumbled, recovered by the Seahawks and returned to the 1.
3rd play, Shaun Alexander runs it in from the 1 for a touchdown. 6-0 Seattle.
Never seen such a poor start before.
And here Green Bay goes again, two fumbles now.
