  • It's no surpise that the newly promoted English side couldn't handle a pumped up LLanelli at what was effectively Ray Gravell's wake. leeds will always be the 'bridemaids' of the Premiership rather than the 'brides'.

Tigers v Cardiff made it onto BBC1 - Cardiff competed well in the first half but tigers always carried the greater threat. Tigers won 42-20 and that score flattered Blues somewhat.

Indeed the Blues Welsh Internationals all had a quiet game - I hardly realised Thomas, Shanklin and Williams were playing. Far more worrying for Blues is that all their threat comes from the huge number of Kiwis that they start in their game day 22.

As for Sale I'll watch them for KoC. We need to beat them to win the group now - and I believe we will.

    • I love the look that Andy Goode is sporting

Wasps Vs Glos sounds like a brilliant game that we missed because the BBC wastes their rights to broadcast it.

      • Perfectly respected minute's silence from Leicester fans, nice one tiggers.

Don't know if people outside Wales realise just how popular Grav was (is) over here.

But in all seriousness, I don't see how the scoreline flattered? Two tries for all Cardiff's territory and time in the tiggers 22 too much? Leicester deserved more than 5 second half tries? Really, Havak?

Leicester deserved winners, of course. Our internationals were sh*t, weren't they? Perhaps we'll get the exposé on Blues' shocking second half capitulation and his own anonymity in Alfie's next book?

        • Havak obviously stumbled on a crate of stinky old bait in his garage over the weekend.

In other news, very nice comeback from my new favourite team yesterday.

          • That makes you a typical Wasps supporter – climbing on the bandwagon when they win?

Stinky old bait? Show me the welshman who scored a try for Cardiff. Okay, okay, I confess that the flattered bit was deliberate bait!

However surely it’s a cause for concern when Blair and Rush were the two standout players in a side that needs to be providing players to Wales?

Competed really well in the first half, gained a lot of territorial advantage but just couldn’t score.

Who was the ginger Kiwi in the forwards that swung a haymaker (and missed) - Tito?

And what has happended to Rob Sidoli - he is a shadow of the man he was three years ago.

Nice break by Yapp in the lead up to the Rush try. Tom Varndell making good defensive tackles and Jordan Crane playing out of his boots. A nice enjoyable game for me. And yes the result helped make it enjoyable of course

Mind you the referee got the scrum badly wrong on both sides all game don’t you think? The Cardiff loosehead in particular got slaughtered all game by White then Castro but scored more penalties than the Tigers got from it – clueless ref at the coalface syndrome once again.

Tom Croft wasn’t even in the 22 Finbar. Crane replaced him. I think the club are deliberately protecting both these young men as it’s hard to believe Luke Abraham, good clubman though he is, is keeping either of these guys out the matchday 22 on form.

Tell me again the make up of the Leicester front row at a time when - you have suggested - there's a dearth of good young English props?

Protecting them from what or whom?

              • Protecting them from burn out/physical wear out given their age. Little else makes sense given the performances both are putting in.

We even played a Welshman in our front row for part of the second half.

The two young English lads I mentioned did play down at Bath – promising but green was what I heard.

And as for your own stinky bait my problem there is that I am anosmic most of the time in this thread.

                • At his first press conference after taking charge our new coach faced the media .... in a Tigers Polo shirt.

                      • I look forward to the new Leicester game of relentless garryowens.

I also look forward to the new coach bringing some substance to the Taffy game.

                        • Thats a good signing for Wales - one can only hope (as an Englishman) that he isn't allowed a free hand or to choose his own support team.

garryowens are not our style - dinky little chip throughs for Mr Varndell are the order of the day. Still if he does bring Hernandez in I'll accept a few garryowens as the price.

                              • Looking at their team, on paper, you wonder how they ever lose a match. On paper. Their only handicap would seem to be the Australian coaching line up.

My new favourite team did rather well again, too. I'm particularly taken by the modesty and humility of our skipper.
