  • What about the Australian scrum half - he actually had a very good game for me.

Apparently "There were two champions" out there with you new favourite side. Fortunately they have to travel to Llanelli next weekend where they are assured a warm welcome.

And please keep supporting them Finbar - I've never known them to be lower in the Premiership at this stage of the season (10th) so your support is working wonders for them.

    • That scrum half's a very good player. Still, at his age. Lovely hands, always a better pass than G. Gregan, brave, and a very good leader. Without Gregan around, he'd have played many Tests.

Fear not, with our personable, humble skipper leading the way, we will soon steamroll our way up to ninth spot.

      • That is quite a skipper you have. Truly a legend in his own mind even.

The BBC news site is reporting that a Welsh amateur player has been jailed for fifteen months for stamping on an opponents head....

        • Seeing how Llanelli got tolled over by Clermont yesterday, they'll probably warm the English cheerfully indeed.
A pity I had to stop watching after 5 tries were scored, as there were still almost as many yet to be scored.

          • Not Scarlets best game that was it? Clermont looked pretty good though.

There is always an extra fizz around fixtures where an English club is visiting Wales - Wasps won't find Stradey park easy to take points away from.

            • The result says otherwise. Gee, I can stay on my new favourite team's bandwagon for another week.

It was nice for PT's confidence - that's PT for Pink Tie - that he had an outing against some Scottish school under 11s team.

What's happened to Ulster? They seem to be losing wherever they go.

              • Cripes, I know I've mentioned it before, but whomever approved the Stade Français away strip should be guillotined. No wonder their pack collapsed. From embarrassment.

Suspected broken ankle for C. Whitaker against Toulouse? Dreadful for him and Leinster. The poor bloke is jinxed. Toulouse thump Leinster, Leinster thump Leicester - ergo, what do Toulouse do to Leicester?

                • Lose to them?

We'll beat them both at home making the away fixture in France very important.

With Ulster I can only say there is terrace talk of serious player unrest with the coach there.

Much as I hate to say it your new favourite team thoroughly deserved that win down at Stradey. At times they can be quite formidable.

Not a great weekend for Welsh sides - particularly Dragons who got stuffed at home by the Exiles!

                  • I just went to check who coaches Ulster and read that he quit last week.

Yep, I suppose some of those who got hurt suffered more from the grey with pink flowers thingy than from their wounds.
Had there been more mud, it might have covered the shirts, but apparently, England reputation of a rainy weather is overdone. Or they have gardners who know their jobs. Whoever receives the Stade Francais should have them play on a potato field specially watered for the match. That way they'd have a nice brown shirt like everybody else.

                      • I'm sure I remember reading that the Management at Stade chose those pink shirts for the 'shock' factor on their opponents. It makes you wonder about the sanity of some people?

Good spot Finbar - the Ulster coach did leave last week. Doesn't look like his former assistant has the answers either?

Is Plank fit and playing? It's the last year of his contract there - such a waste of the lad to have languished in Ulster rugby for three years.

*edit* Do you think that Aurelien Rougerie even understands the enormity of what he has probably done to the game with that civil case in France?

                          • I think I read somewhere that Gareth Jenkins is heavily linked with the vacant Ulster job...

The Blues are doing OK this year and are top or joint top of all our leagues and cup competitions so far. I've been to all the home games so far and the only bad one was against Leinster, however that was more about us shooting ourselves in the foot than Leinster actually being too good for us. It's true Cardiff has it's own share of imports, however if you look at our main points scorers they are dominated by Welsh players, including a possible one to watch for the future in Tom James. So the Welsh game is doing fine here...

Anyway, it's Stade Francais next here at the Arms Park in December - with seeing how Wales cope with the World Champs at the Millennium Stadium this coming Saturday...

And yes, that court case is insane! There are going to have to be some major shake ups in injury compensation and insurance after that precedent!

Jenkins to Ulster? That would be a bad move by the Province I feel....

Seven out of the top eight are Welsh. No wonder the Tigers beat us – our foreign players can’t cope when the Welsh players have an off day…
