      Why are your eggs in one basket? You've got a good goalie duo, and various forwards on different teams.

          If you did Ovechkin + Nylander + the other Kozlov + Semin, I'd agree.

          I think there are far worse tandems to have...

          BTW, Cammelleri was an awesome pick. I wanted him. I was hoping he was sufficiently under the radar for you easterners.

                        You need to look at the big picture.

                        In a given week, Savard and Boyle could hurt on the plus-minus category, but look at what they do on the PP and assists. Massive numbers.

                        As for Kaberle, you obviously don't know that he has a plus-average and racks up major points as a d-man.

                        I've also got Sakic scoring PPGs.

                        Michalek will at the very least put up some decent + numbers playing with Thornton and Cheechoo, along with points.

                        Overall, a strong team so far.

                            He was +3 last year, -1 the year before. He's not bad, but he's not going to win you points in +/-. It's your strategy, I just find it curious. But who am I to argue with last season's success that you enjoyed.

                            And it is amusing that apparently Tomas Kaberle is the best Leaf.

                            I'm curious, if Phaneuf was still available, would you still take Kaberle?

                              I'd bet on Kaberle getting more points and PP points than Phaneuf this year. Almost all the projections I've seen so far back that up as well.

                                Yes, but less goals and less +/-.

                                Kaberle's a bit one-dimensional. On a team stacked with assists (eg, Savard, Sakic), going for more assists over other stats is a bit odd.

                                All of the projections I've seen have ranked Phaneuf over Kaberle for d-men.

                                TSN has Phaneuf at #5, McCabe at #6, and Kaberle at #10.
                                Yahoo has Phaneuf at #6, McCabe at #12, and Kaberle #24 in d-men depth...
