My opinion's been consistent the whole time. I'm sorry if you are joining nye in the remedial reading classes.
Even you tried to bring it up as if it was contradictory to what I was saying here, when it was not. Seems to be a common problem you two share.

Doesn't mean I said it was "okay", but I do believe the Wing's reluctance to fight is the main reason why the cheapshots continued to try to spur a fight. It's not a big leap to make.
I'll say this for the 12th time to make sure you can understand: that does not make it okay.
Are you done having elementary reading problems now? It's pretty hilarious how you jump from one attempted troll to another when you finally realize you're trolling based on your incorrect understanding of a situation (which happens a lot, I've found).
You're hilarious.
Detroit's players are largely to blame, but you are ashamed of the Flames for something the other team is largely responsible for (in your words).
You should try politics.

It looks like you're starting to come around. That an explanation does not equal an excuse.
No one on Detroit, except for a recent addition in Todd Bertuzzi, would drop the gloves. The Flames players were desperate to start a fight to get the energy up, but no one would do it. So what happened was the Flames players tried to provoke fights, and their actions getting progressively worse.
That's what I saw happen, but that in no way excuses what did happen. Do you understand now?

The thought of watching Sean Avery play for another three rounds makes my skin crawl, and I can't imagine how many times he'd be interviewed and featured on TV and online between now and the end of the series. I could even see him getting Conn Smyth consideration for his work against opposing top players. Some where along the line Claude Lemieux comparisons would be made. As much as it would be good for the NHL to have these two marquee teams play for the Cup, I'm already sick of Avery, and who really wants to see Detroit (and Hasek) win again aside from Detroit fans? Detroit used to be a bit of a sentimental favorite because it was tough to cheer against a guy like Steve Yzerman. now? It's remarkably easy to pull for whoever is shooting on Dominik Hasek.
Soooo true.

So you're blaming the Wings for playing smart?

Playing smart?
How's your injury situation, buddy?

It's not as simple as that. By refusing to fight, the attempts to start a fight escalate by the other team.
One of your players may be minus a "concussion" if he decided to fight like a man instead of trying to submarine another player, for instance. "Playing smart" is in the eye of the beholder, but here's hoping his "playing smart" leaves his ass in the pressbox for the round.

I'm glad you made this thread. Because of it, I remembered that the hockey playoffs were on, and the Rangers were playing. So I watched their last game, which was a very fun 2-1 double overtime win.
