    So after 7 games:

    2007 1-6
    2006 1-6
    2004 1-6

Silver lining: They started 1-6 in 1977 and then went 100-54 the rest of the way. Of course they also had an awesome bullpen in '77 (give me the likes of Ron Reed and Gene Garber any day) plus Carlton as their ace.

I'm having trouble believing this, but Carl Pavano pitched well last night (7IP, 2ER, 0BB/2K, 79 pitches). Wow.

You know what this means? Injury .

          Or trade Sell high, Cash!

Injury is a possibility for Pavano whether he's pitching or not, obviously. I'll take what I can get.

The problem happens to be a large contract which is owed to Pavano, IIRC. Meaning, no one is dealing for him .

All that rest must have done him some good. Maybe you'll get another good game out of him in a year and a half.

Almost surely not, unless of course the Yankees ate his contract and even then at this point I don't think they could get much talent back. Then again, sometimes GMs do stupid things, so you never know.

Even if it's only the Mariners, that 14-3 pounding felt nice.

It was nice to see Jeff Weaver take his beating, even if it meant a Red Sox win.

For the Yanks, Andy Pettitte pitched well and Boof Bonser didn't. It was a nice comfortable win (not quite as comfortable as 14-3, but close).

Good thing E-Rod's getting all his production in during lopsided April games, so come September, he can do his thing and still maintain a good overall line for the season as a whole.

Yeah, and I'd almost *gag* root for the MFY against Weaver. He's just that kind of guy.

The look on his face when JD Drew's home run cleared the CF wall was priceless.

As for the 3rd baseman, he's the one making the games lopsided. April counts, and a 2-run HR in the 1st to give the team a 2-0 lead is a big hit. Of course, what will matter in the end is what he does in the playoffs (assuming they make the playoffs, obviously).

Wow... King Felix sure put on a show. Matsuzaka didn't pitch that bad, but on that night, it didn't matter.

As for A-Rod, I hope he lights it up this year. Hits 60+ HRs, has an OPS over 1.200, gets the MVP and then at the end of the year, takes his option for free agency, and takes less money just to stick it to the ****ing Yankee fans who booed him while he takes home two MVPs in his stay in NY.

Then he can go somewhere else, and take them to a few World Series wins... just rubbing it in a bit more .

Damnit. Moose out with a hammy strain. Always a possibility, but more likely when your team is full of old guys.

Ramon Ortiz when into the time machine and pitched like he once did, back when people called him "mini pedro." He was great. Kyle Farnsworth was not (terrible signing, IMO, and I said it at the time. The man has no control).

As for ARod, if that happened Imran, I wouldn't blame him.

The Tigers could use another third baseman.

(Nothing against Inge, I love the dude, but come on... it's A-Rod.)
