...um, yup. He must have thought they had a better chance of winning by going for it then they would have had in OT. Looks like he was right. Ultimately, he made the right decision."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

Pass interference on LSU, giving Florida a new set of downs... but still a long way to go with 30 secs left.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. I'm gonna break some of my own rules in my Top 10, because I was so impressed by Florida...
1. LSU
2. Cal
3. Ohio State
4. Oregon
5. South Florida
6. South Carolina
7. Boston College
8. Florida
9. Oklahoma
10. West Virginia
Some of the other teams I considered for those last four spots included, but are not limited to: Missouri (!), Illinois (!), Virginia Tech, Kansas (!), Cincinnati (!), Wisconsin, and Hawai'i. A team I did not consider, even for a second: USC. HA!"My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

Man, Les Miles has got a huge set between his legs, doesn't he? And I love it...
I'm going to wait to make sure Missouri finishes the hatchet job of Nebraska before I post my top 10, because they're going to get in if they do.CGN | a bunch of incoherent nonsense

Assuming Hawai'i doesn't choke against Utah State, and Missouri continues to destroy Nebraska, here is the Undefeated Update:
ACC (1): Boston College
Big 12 (2): Missouri, Kansas
Big East (3): Cincinnati, Connecticut, South Florida
Big Ten (1): Ohio State
Pac-10 (2): Cal, Arizona State
SEC (1): LSU
WAC (1): Hawai'i
Total: 11
Games between undefeated teams next week:
none
Likely first-time losers include (in order of highly likely losers to not-too-shocking upsets): Connecticut (at Virignia), Missouri (at Oklahoma), Arizona State (vs. Washington), Cincinnati (vs. Louisville), South Florida (vs. Central Florida), LSU (at Kentucky), Hawai'i (at San Jose State), Boston College (at Notre Dame; no, really. I mean, why the hell not?)
I think the dividing line up there is South Florida; the Bulls and those teams listed after them will win, the previous four will go down.
Safe(ish): Ohio State (vs. Kent State), Kansas (vs. Baylor), Cal (vs. Oregon State)"My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

Well, if he is coaching in Ann Arbor next year, at least I'll be entertained every week.Originally posted by reismark

I thought about it, but I still think the Big 12 North is highly dubious. (The South being moderately dubious.) If they beat Oklahoma next week, I'm officially on the bandwagon. But it's gonna take more than pounding a mediocre Nebraska team to get into my Top Ten."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
