Realize that Democrats deliberately blocked a primary because they knew Joe Biden would have a hard time winning one. So they pretty much did this to themselves. They could have had a better candidate but now they are stuck with the guy who can barely walk or talk. They doubly screwed themselves because normally the V.P. would take over in a case like this but Kamala Harris is an incompetent diversity hire who has even lower poll numbers than Joe Biden.

Greasy Gavin Newscum? He isn't well know outside of California and the few who do know of him understand he has been the worst governor in California's history. Even in far left California he avoided being recalled by the skin of his teeth.

I hope the vast majority of Republicans end up regretting nominating Trump. After that debate I find it harder than ever to fathom how he got the largest fraction, let a lone a clear majority, of votes in the primaries. I thought Biden would do a lot better in the debate and I'm definitely convinced he was drugged up. His appalling performance simply suggests he's getting too far gone along the progression of his undisclosed cognitive ailment(s) to cover them up.

I could hope that in response the Dems will instead run an acceptable candidate but I'm sure they will bitterly disappoint in that regard.

Trump lies but what scares me more is that I suspect he even more often adjusts reality to match his comfort zone. He really believes a large fraction of his 'lies" I'm sure. Both candidates should be regarded as cognitively impaired IMHO. Trump is the kind of crazy that seems lucid and sane superficially until you listen to what they are saying and Biden presents as sane person whose faculties are too degraded to really continuously be engaged with a reality they are struggling to keep up with and to grasp.

The democrats have a bigger problem than just #GenocideJoe's mental decline, though the bigger problem is directly connected to Biden's dementia.

They've been telling constant lies about Biden's mental state. Big lies. Small lies. Obvious lies. Sneaky lies. Knowing the whole time that Biden's brain is a sack of drunken squirrels. No, he really isn't. Polls show Greasy Newscum (the worst governor in my state's history who only barely survived a recall even in overwhelmingly leftist California) would lose to Trump.

Even if Biden were to stand down—essentially the only way he will not be the Democratic Party nominee in November—the polls available suggest Newsom would lose to Trump.

I think the Dems might want to consider lining up behind a leftist (or at least left leaning) charismatic non politician who can talk a good game in public. The anti-politician sentiment among swing voters is likely higher than it's ever been. I predict most such candidates would defeat Trump by a comfortable margin.
