    17 - Franklin D. Roosevelt
    14 - Dwight Eisenhower
    9 - John F. Kennedy +
    5 - Lyndon B. Johnson
    20 - Jimmy Carter --
    12 - Barack Obama

I look at it mostly thru an intl lense since I dunno every turn of US domestic politics, so I upped JFK for avoiding WW3, and reduced Carter because he can afford it

Jimmy Carter: a great man, but not a great POTUS. Part of that was situational (gas crisis/economy), but at the end of the day, he was not a great leader, not a savvy politician, and set the stage for inflicting Reagan and the movement conservatives on the American people.

                    • Carter pushed against (formerly US-backed) human rights violations, at least in Latin America. The junta in Argentina started getting strong pressure from the US when he came into power.
