I think that both Obama and Carter did good things and are good people. Neither was perfect. Both were good presidents. Obama was probably about as perfect a president as we could have had in that decade.
Even though FDR did some bad things, and was not perfect, and wasn't a particularly good person and was maybe not even as perfect a president as we could have during his time, circumstances gave him the challenge of greatness (which they didn't give Carter or Obama, or if they did, Carter and Obama did not pass it) and I think he passed it.
