It looks like your sole defense of your claim that Ukraine was a puppet is their abhorrent policies and strategic decisions with respect to secessionist Donbas and luhansk which obviously were totally different from Russia's policies and strategic decisions in Chechnya before Russia regained control there.

The US and Russia and China and frankly almost every country that isn't a basket case tries to influence and meddle in other countries internal affairs. Making puppets of them is *much* more challenging. It can't be done on the cheap. The US couldn't even convert Iraq and Afghanistan into proper allies, let alone puppets. Why in the hell are you so convinced they succeeded in Ukraine? Is it really just because you can't understand how Ukrainians were so despicable in the separatist territories?
