About the terrible war crimes... it's always he said-she said truth and propaganda thoroughly mixed in every ratio. I always wait for the highest standard of evidence and corroboration from impartial observers. That was true in the Balkans, Chechnya, Ukraine, wherever. This is largely an artillery war, especially on the Ukrainian side. Did you know Russia has more artillery ammunition stockpiled than all of NATO combined? Maybe in a few months it will be Ukraine and NATO resorting to trebuchets for artillery.
