Of course then Fra/UK did join the war after the attack on Poland - but without a decisive attempt to stop Germany (tho the reasons are surely more complex), and then things in the west turned into the Sitzkrieg quickly. In less than a year things changed so that they could not avoid all-out war anymore.BlahComment
