  • We're 2-3 months away from a vaccine but now the media is scaring people about the vaccine.

    • Even Fauci now says we might have a vaccine as soon as next month but no major news outlets are reporting it.

Yeah. That was a big story during the Russia hoax.

        • You understand that a vaccine existing is different than a vaccine available?

It has been obvious for a while that a vaccine would exist by the November. Russia and China have already vaccinated a million people (or something). It has also been obvious that vaccine would not be available by November. I thought that we would not have the vaccine complete the standard trials by November, if one looks like it will then that is amazing... but with this administration, and how they have interfered with other institutions and scientists, I would want some outside check that standards were not skipped like in Russia and China.

A vaccine that has passed all trials and is ready to be made available in November, I would guess would become available next summer?

          • Vaccines already exist, and I'm not talking about Russian vaccines. They are making the vaccine ready for approval and distribution. It will be done as early as next month according to Fauci.

This is huge news and you might expect that it would be more widely reported, but it looks like they wanted to set Kamala Harris up for a debate question and leave the American people in the dark.

            • If there is big news that they want covered in a way that will get Trump votes, all they have to do is have Trump make the announcements. A vaccine would be a perfect example.

In fact, knowing his massive ego and need to take credit for everything, Trump would insist on it.

              Yet it doesn't happen.

              • Trump already said that at a press briefing. They reported that Fauci said that a vaccine is far away. Now Fauci confirms what Trump said, but it's not widely reported.

                    • "WHO warns against COVID-19 lockdowns due to economic damage

Dr. David Nabarro suggests lockdowns should be a last resort only

New York PostVideoVarney: We rarely hear about lockdown dangers

FOX Business’ Stuart Varney argues Democrats haven’t acknowledged the cost of lockdowns.

The World Health Organization has warned leaders against relying on COVID-19 lockdowns to tackle outbreaks — after previously saying countries should be careful how quickly they reopen.

WHO envoy Dr. David Nabarro said such restrictive measures should only be treated as a last resort, the British magazine the Spectator reported in a video interview.

“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Nabarro said.

“The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”

Nabarro said tight restrictions cause significant harm, particularly on the global economy.

“Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never, ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer,” he said.

He added that lockdowns have severely impacted countries that rely on tourism.

“Just look at what’s happened to the tourism industry in the Caribbean, for example, or in the Pacific because people aren’t taking their holidays,” Nabarro told the outlet.

VARNEY: WHY THE LOCKDOWN WARNING MATTERS FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE

“Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.”

The UN agency previously warned countries against lifting lockdowns too soon during the first wave of the virus.

“The last thing any country needs is to open schools and businesses, only to be forced to close them again because of a resurgence,” said Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

But Tedros had urged countries to bolster other measures, including widespread testing and contact tracing, so they could safely reopen and avoid future lockdowns.

“We need to reach a sustainable situation where we have adequate control of this virus without shutting down our lives entirely, or lurching from lockdown to lockdown — which has a hugely detrimental impact on societies,” he said.

                    • Uhhh... I have never been pro senseless lock downs.

But you must have missed a few things in the story...
"But Tedros had urged countries to bolster other measures, including widespread testing and contact tracing, so they could safely reopen and avoid future lockdowns."
Neither of which Trump has done...

“The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”
In other words, if things really get bad...

And they talk about getting the virus "under control"... something Trump hasn't done yet.

                          • Yes, I did. But for his "just let the virus run it's course" crap.

There is big difference between total lock downs and allowing 65,000 people in a football stadium.
There has to be some common sense. And so far, Trump is totally against contact tracing and thinks tests just lead to bad numbers... He's against lock downs, but is also against the measures that are good alternatives.
And instead, he thinks it's a blessing from God...
